And they're not into the anti-gun thing like some other Northeast states. They're not Vermont or New Hampshire. But they aren't New York or New Jersey. Smiley

Good state, but its leadership makes me ill. I can only blame the voters.

It's kinda a gross state to visit, and Providence is boring as all hell on the weekends.

I suppose Newport is nice, but I've never actually been.

Definitely one of the better states if only be default. We actually had a pretty sweet family vacation of sorts over there circa 1990.

This is an odd case where liberals and libertarians are in total agreement. Not sure if libertarians would like their taxes though.

Appropriate that Quagmire lives there, since he's basically a male prostitute (Remember: "Fat chicks need love too...but they have to pay!")

Yeah, the tax part would suck, but the social freedoms would more than likely outweigh any retarded economic system the state might have.

What makes Rhode Island the best state?

What I explained in my first post. Prostitution is legal (Though brothels and streetwalking isn't), and there are loads of unregulated strip clubs.

I thought the illegality of prostitution would increase the thrill of it. When you do it in Rhode Island, you're just a conformist. I didn't know you were a conformist, BRTD. Sad

Yeah, but then you're a conformist getting his rocks off. The best kind.

I've never actually paid for sex in the opebo sense. I've given money to girls I've had sex with because they're strippers or bought drinks but that's different and legal. I have however had massages with a "happy ending", I suppose the illegality did give a bit of a thrill, but it's still a minor thing aspect. Of course Minneapolis doesn't really arrest people for that anyway (You basically have to go after streetwalkers to get arrested for prostitution, nothing else is enforced, some parlors get shut down every now and then, but they don't even bother to arrest the staff, much less the customers.) And I've never had one in a place where it's legal, so I don't have a comparison, unlike underage drinking which I can tell you is way more fun.
