6/9/2009 I voted for Creigh Deeds in the Dem primary

11/3/2009:
McDonnell (R) for Governor
Wagner (D) for Lt. Governor
Cuccinelli (R) for Attorney General

The 67% win rate in 2009 is the best voting average I've ever had when multiple, contested offices were up at the same time.

2006 Austrian Parliamentary election (Greens)

There was no election in 2005, when I turned 18.

2011 referendums in Italy, aka the first act of Berlusconi's downfall. I still have fond memories about that day.

You actually have Italian citizenship? This is news to me. I always thought you had solely French citizenship despite being of Italian descent. Learn something new everyday Tongue

Pretty sure I've said it before, but yeah, I'm both Italian and French by birth. Wink I actually voted in Italy in the European elections as well (since all choices in France sucked so much...).

2006 General Election.  I voted split ticket, and I regretfully voted for Mike Rounds as Governor. Thankfully, I never voted Republican again after that year.

1988 presidential election and North Dakota state elections.  I was a typical NoDak ticket-splitter back then; voted for daddy Bush for president, and for Democrat Quentin Burdick to be reelected for what turned into his last term in the U.S. Senate.  By the time 1992 rolled around, my political views had changed and I started to vote more straight Dem tickets, but that was the last year of my residence in North Dakota too.

If those count then my choir class had one in 2004 where only me, my enemy, and his friend voted for Kerry, while everyone else voted for Bush.

First vote period was in the 2012 General Election. My birthday falls on May 4, so I was too young for the primaries.

In the fall of 1985, when I was 18.  There was a special congressional election to replace a recently-deceased house member, and the two guys running for the office were a Republican and a Democrat.  I voted for the Republican.  I was so excited about the chance to do something so rebellious.  My mother and father were Mickey Mouse democrats.  For them, the Republicans could do no right and the democrats no wrong.  I grew up thinking Nixon was a dirty word.  By the time I was starting to be old enough to vote I really couldn't wait to vote so that I could vote for a Republican, and I did so the first chance I got.

The Democrat won.  Actually, it turned out to be a good thing.  He was a decent man and he ended up usually voting on legislation in ways that I would have if I were in the house, and he served several terms.  In retrospect, I'm glad the guy I voted for lost.
