My point is, DON'T start off by asking the girl to be FWB. If she agrees, you're only good for sex until she finds someone she wants to date, then she will kick you to the curb. Transitions rarely happen where she just decides she wants to date you after you've used her for sex for months.

Plus, if you're FWB, you have no idea who else she's seeing when she isn't with you, and if you're a possessive Greek like me, it sucks.

You really aren't mature enough to date anyone to be honest. It isn't all about sex, although that's part of it. Don't get into a relationship if that's all your after though. Just find a FWB and sleep with her whenever you want, but don't expect her to listen to your problems nor should she have to listen to yours.

But sex isn't everything. I like the cuddly mushy stupid stuff more than sex that's the point.

To add to what Duke said: You veer from one idea on a pedestal to another. Even the "cuddly mushy stupid stuff" seems like its on a pedestal. Trust me, dealing with someone else's problems is a mix of drudgery and hard work. You have to be mature and you have to be with the right person for it to work.

I've dealt with everyone's problems as well as my own for the majority of my life that I've been able to think somewhat cognitively, what would change?

I didn't learn any of that until I was almost 21, when I met a girl I fell in love with and will never forget. It wasn't all about the sex during that relationship. It was about the time we spent together learning about one another, going through things together, the ups, the downs, supporting each other along the way.

I'm very confused, but I'd rather runs things at the speed that I wanna run and find out that I made a terrible mistake so as to not make it again (or in this case, make it again possibly and find out even harder)
