I can't say specifically why I think John Fetterman is the right candidate, but I just feel like he is. One truism about the American people is that a lot of people vote based on feeling. He has a background most Americans can relate to. He came from the common middle class and was fortunate enough to go to Harvard, something most parents in this country would love for their children (despite whatever attacks on the liberal elite some may say or believe).

All of the attacks I'm seeing are ones that will be levelled against the Democratic nominee no matter who it is. That shouldn't be the issue. What may be the issue is the response to those attacks. We'll have to see on that part.

I think the notion that Pennsylvania is an R-leaning state defies the truth. It took a massive Republican wave for Toomey to win in 2010 and Trump's inside straight to win again. The only impressive Republican wins in PA this century are the 2000 and 2004 Senate races and the 2010 gubernatorial election. All other major Republican wins were scraping by with no more than a 2% win.

There’s no way you can look at the primary results and think Dems are favored. Rs got 150k more votes in total and have more outstanding.

I really don't want to get into this argument, but for the sake of argument, it should narrow somewhat based solely on the percentages reporting. There should also be a number of mail ballots that have yet to be counted, which should also increase the Democratic votes share (I think the number mentioned was that over 90% of VBM ballots are Democratic ballots). I'd also note that both PA-Gov (R) and PA-Sen (R) were attracting considerable attention, particularly due to the competition in the latter. PA-Gov (D) was an uncontested race and PA-Sen (D) wasn't really competitive.

While I admit I haven't been following the PA-17 race, I feel it's worth noting that Democratic turnout is far exceeding Republican turnout (90k-67k). Neither primary appears particularly competitive, thought the district is only Biden+6.

That actually looks pretty good. I've had subs like that, but I'm not sure what it's called. I do know it's not a sloppy joe though, lmao.

That's actually what's called a sloppy joe in New Jersey, seriously.

That's actually news to me. I only recently heard about loose meat sandwiches because I know people that like to watch Roseanne reruns. Apparently, it's a non-NJ sloppy joe without the Manwich.

I suppose the Washington equivalent would be something like “Worshington has many lovely cities like ‘seh-quim’ and ‘poo-yallup.’”

I just lost my dad (sorry not trying to be a downer haha) and this made me spit-laugh b/c he always said "worsh" for "wash" and "worshington" for "washington" LMAO. It was never not funny to me.

My condolences. I've actually heard people say it like that, but not since I was a kid. I never knew where that came from tbh.

Did I miss the election or something? If not, it seems like a lot of doomers and trolls are present. I would recommend putting them on ignore for the sanity of all. As always, the green avatars tend to be the worst.

I was hoping he would turn up in a hoodie.  Sad

I'm just glad he's there!  Grin
