RNC August 16, 1988, New Orleans, Louisiana[/b
      Quayle/Bob Dole:             43%
      Keyes/Elizabeth Dole:       33%
      Kemp/DuPont:                 15%
      Buchanan/Quayle:             5%
      Other:                              4%

One nitpick, they would hold another vote until a candidate gets a majority of the delegates votes.  So just add one more vote with Quayle getting like 53.3% of the delegate vote.

Scandal that wreaks each other? Maybe a Massachusttess wide scandal that the Democrats were all involved in so they will probably won't be so effective in future elections, Presidential and Congressional.
Have Dukakis say something like he did in the general election debates in real life about the death penalty and have Tsongas have sex scandal with senate aid

i would vote Clinton, but it could go either way, and make sure to take into account that Clinton is from south and that this is the 1980's so there politics are not the same as today.
