Not a big crossover from 2020 with Youngkin not really winning over Biden supporters. I think this will be over 6% in the end.

The pollsters are going to be humiliated in Virginia the same way as they did in California. The Democrats are going to win by at least 6%.

Those GCB numbers are showing that the Republican party is still hated, while the Democrats are disliked. People are frustrated by the lack of progress of the Biden administration, but they would not vote for the Republicans in 2022.

Dems need to get things together. If Biden can’t deliver, he shouldn’t run in ‘24. Maybe he should resign prior to that. I say that as someone who admires and likes him. But if he’s a detriment to the party’s chances, well then…..

Pete Buttigieg or Kamala Harris would lose much worse then Biden would. Bernie is too old, Biden is pretty much our only chance.

Btw, the last poll of Trump had him at 46/47 at October 2020, so it confirms my "hot take", that Biden right now is less popular than Trump right before election.

Honestly, this poll just shows how easy it is for Biden or any other incumbent president to win reelection these days. Because of the extreme polarization in the country they really don't have to do much in order to get another 4 more years because ​even Trump almost won the 2020 election

In 2024 all Biden would have to do is get slighly better numbers than Trump did in 2020 and he wins reelection

Minorities have a strong respect for incumbency. The incumbents in 2004, 2012 and 2020 all improved with minorities. Biden is going to have the incumbency boost in 2024.

It will be interesting to see how long this lasts. Why is is that Biden's approvals have gone back up again? Is it because of Ukraine? Or perhaps because the pandemic is finally winding down? If Biden's approvals were to continue on this trajectory, it might reduce the extent of the electoral losses Democrats suffer.

However, I think it will go down again at some point, especially if energy prices and inflation in general keeps going up.

The more Biden gets out there and fights for his agenda, the higher his approval ratings go. He needs to be out there and use the Presidential bully pulpit more often.
