Given that we currently have stars in rows of 6-5-6-5-6-5-6-5-6, and the space is all filled up, fitting 17 stars in one row or fitting 17 rows into the space might be kind of tricky.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be that hard to think of combinations that would work, though... something like 6-5-6-6-5-6-6-5-6.

In real life, yes; not on here because of the maps. I voted no.

Actually, Dave has it set up so that you can have Puerto Rico on the map.  If you change the date in the URL for the image to 2008 and then add a bit at the end that says "&PR=x;y;z", Puerto Rico is displayed.

For people's interest's sake, here's a picture of what the flag I described above would look like:

Why don't the stars be packed up in a circle like on the EU flag? Or how about we merge to states, like, say, West Virginia and Virginia?

I'm sure I know of one poster who would thoroughly approve of the second option. Smiley
