Just think: not much would have had to have changed in his life and he'd quite possibly be the current or former leader of the NDP. Not that their actual present leader is notably less embarrassing.

...wait, really? What's the story there? I don't know anything about JP's politics prior to his rise to fame as a brave warrior against muh gender ideology (which at least doesn't sound like something that would appeal to the NDP).

He was an NDP activist as a teenager and was part of a circle that included the Notley family.
