Honestly guys, a chimpanzee could have handled being President during 911.  It wasn't a difficult call.

*Kick intelligence community into overdrive to find those responsible.
*Make some emotional speeches.
*Visit disaster areas.
*Go into Afghanistan.

Heck if Gore had been President and done EXACTLY what Bush did the GOP would have criticized him for hesitating before attacking Afghanistan.  The 2004 election would have hinged on the GOP candidate declaring that Gore was responsible for letting Bin Laden go.

Actually, a chimpanzee did handle being president during 9/11. Wink

Indeed, what a concept...an intelligent person running for President, and actually almost beating a foolish chimp! Tongue

Wouldn't it be sad that the "smart person" couldn't beat the "chimp?"

Which brings us back to the whole problem of the intelligence of the American public in general. Tongue

They were smart enough four years ago when most Americans voted for Gore, right? They were brilliant when they voted for Clinton in '92 and '96, right?

Indeed.  This just shows their ability to be swayed by fear, rather than by rational thought.
