I don't see how these results are heartwarming for the Republicans.  Ever since that nut became President, they've done miserably in these elections.  People need to remember that these districts are very Republican.  They are not designed to be pickups for Democrats.  That these Democratic candidates are keeping these races so close is a miracle.

If Democrats think they're going to be taking the House in 2018, this is a district they'll likely need to win.  This is supposed to be their brand new "winning coalition" of educated whites.  Epic fail, IF they have in fact lost.

I'm not so sure that winning Republican districts is going to help Democrats.  What Ds need are swing seats and a fair redistricting process for 2022.  They might not win back the House until 2022 when a new map is produced.

Special elections don't always reflect what will happen in the midterm and there are plenty of Republicans in Clinton districts that will probably lose next year. GA-6 is a Republican gerrymander, anyway and it functioned just as it was intended to tonight. It could flip next year, though.
When are you guys actually going to start winning anything?

lol It feels like that.  Maybe Democrats will just lose every election forever and ever and ever.
