Apparently Bob is a 58 year-old guy looking for casual sex.

'Maybe if he was getting some action, he'd hate the world less.

I was thinking about posting this for the longest time.

Now, which of these do you think is his current girlfriend?

Another way to put it would be if I were governor of a state, I'd be very moderate and sympathetic. A good comparison would be Mitt Romney

I guess it's time to eat some humble pie.

I've been watching a lot of videos by Market Anarchists, Libertarians and ultra-Capitalists on Youtube, and videos by Socialists too, and in watching the Socialist's videos I've been watching the market anarchists videos too, and I've been persuaded by some very good arguments by them. I always had barriers aganist these ideas that were JUST barriers, you know. When you think about ultra-Capitalism it's only about how two people interact with one another, and how they should interact etc, and it's fallen to me.

If they don't agree then they don't have to do business with one another. You know, it's so simple, anybody can learn it, it's effective. I've made a lot of comments on here criticising it, and I've realised how stupid I was. For example, let's say a landowner is living landlocked by a lot of other landowners, and he needs to get off that land to survive basically. I used to think, "well he's trapped, he can't move to a market, he can't get water, he can't go anywhere, without the express permission of the other landowners, and if they said no then he's going to stave to death."

That was what I used to think, but when you think about it it's really that person's responsibility to invent themselves a flying machine, and then they can go right up high into the air, and they won't invade anybody's airspace, and they can come back down and find a land that they are allowed to use.

And I'm sure that they'd be some private company that decides which land people are allowed to go on and off, so you could have these flying machines that just hop around the planet, but only for people that are inventive enough to actually have them.

Duh, it's probably one of the most rabidly left-wing forums I've ever seen.

Dukakis actually did win Illinois. I was watching the election returns, and they had the map shaded in for Dukakis. Then crooked DuPage County "found" a bunch of votes for Bush.

And the rest as they say is fascism.

I vote for the one who's a pretty normal guy (though sadly by the sorry standards of Texas) and doesn't scare me and wouldn't terrify me if I met him in real life. The other two are two of the creepiest and scariest individuals I've ever encountered.

The one who has admitted to taking part in an [attempted] drive-by shooting is the one that doesn't terrify you?

I'd say the Germans are being softies, though given history that's probably a good thing.

Atheist does things like engaging in email conversations with Inks, in which he asks for the contact info of other moderators and threatens to sue Atlas for slander, then creates a new sock account to post a poll with the question "How to deal with Inks?", where the choices are all various forms of violence.

The post is more of an explanation than an attempt at humor, but it's hilarious for the content alone.

Casey wanted to be Governor, not Senator. Phil was entirely right.

Oh, then please quote my quotation of Phil to the deluge on charges of ignorance. My apologies to Phil. In my defense, I never called the prediction anything insulting, just found it ironic.

Its somewhat ironic since he is senator now but when Phil posted that, he was spot on.

I got busted for having a "hit list" in elementary school. I got sent to the principals office and my parents grounded me for 2 weeks.

Wasn't any malice behind it, I just thought Kill Bill was a really cool movie.

Even better it's shorter than 2,700 pages along with millions of pages of bureaucracy and regulation. She can even fit her plan on her hand as if it were a grocery list. See how simple things would've been had we not elected Obama in 2008.

Gosh, lets repeal the 2700 page law and replace it will some random thing Sarah Palin wrote on her hand. I'm sure that will work out much better.

Wait what are these secret loophole exclusions we're just now hearing about?

Moderators have a power known as "extraordinary rendition" where we can unilaterally transfer an account's data to a server located abroad so the Terms of Service either doesn't apply or is unenforceable. We can then keep an account on moderator review indefinitely without any public oversight

Worst drivers in the country (if you exclude the south).  I love the Cardinals, but hate pretty much everything else about the state.

What about opebo?

This much is clear: Bushie needs The Update as badly as we do. Just look at the shambles his life is in after he lost the steady hand of the Atlas forum. Come back to us, Bushie. Don't limit yourself on these posts. Let it flow like a good bottle of wine over a great meal.

Great idea using a wine analogy for someone from Oklahoma. He has surely had many great glasses of wine over many, many great meals.

It says 'defeat' in pretty big letters, guys. No reasonably literate person is going to be tricked into donating money by the Democratic candidate's picture. It's an insult even to a Democrat to think they would donate to this by mistake.

Someone with poor eyesight or who has misplaced spectacles? "Defeat" is not particularly bold or in a distinctive color. Showing the politician's image crossed out or upside down might make the point.

Deceit in fundraising is FRAUD. There could be violations of mail fraud and wire fraud statutes.

I convinced my wife to sign up, but it didn't take her long to get sick of some of the pimply-faced know-it-alls on here. I think there have been other husband/wife members on here, too.
