I've also only voted in one, 2008, in which I wrote in Ron Paul.  Good chance I'll be doing the same in '12 and '16.

To anecdotally disprove that theory; my father's voting record:

1972: McGovern
1976: Carter
1980: Carter
1984: Reagan
1988: Bush
1992: Bush
1996: Dole
2000: Bush
2004: Kerry
2008: Obama
2012: Almost certainly the Republican

Worth noting that his views have pretty much stayed relatively constant that whole time.
