Anyone have tips for someone who is vaxxed and boosted (booster was November) and still hasn’t gotten covid?

I have this fear I’m gonna get covid either on the 5 hour flight or in CA….

This is my first time with it and it’s been basically a sinus infection. I’m vaccinated and boosted.

I’ve read BA.5 may be more severe and also may evade recent immunity garnered from recent infection, which is worrisome.

You'll be fine. You have extra immunity for the winter. Id rather get covid in summer than winter.

Just annoyed that aim still positive because my family is getting together this weekend for my dad’s birthday. If I’m not negative by then I can’t attend.

Your mentality in doing your best to avoid getting others sick is one that many more should have, even if doesn't mean transmitting a fatal or otherwise severe illness.

If there's anything the past 2.5 years has taught me, it's that so many people are incredibly ignorant and/or inconsiderate. It seems to be a very prevalent mindset in this country. It's like the people that go to work sick (when they actually have sick days) and get others around them sick. That is a very common mindset in this country. But it's not just that. Many people seem to have no issue going out in public when they're sick and getting others sick in the process.

I am social media friends with a woman who recently tested positive alongside her husband (but not her toddler). They are experiencing symptoms. A day after their positive test, they took their child to get a haircut. No masks on any of them, and the woman cutting the kids hair was older.

Total idiocy, pure selfishness, and a complete disregard for human life.

She's a Republican, by the way.

Thought I had covid a few days ago. Wore a mask outside my apartment (which did suck but it was temporary), stayed indoors when I could, got tested, not really a problem for me.

Because you're not a grown man baby, like a lot of the morons out there. Take precautions when warranted, look out for safety of others. Common sense.

I don’t see what was wrong with entertaining the idea until we had further info. It was a possibility at least.

The problem is those who were pitching it treated it as absolute, unquestionable fact from day one. So I doubt confirming it wasn't the case will have any impact on those who still believe it.

I think it was a reasonable hypothesis in the beginning. A lab to study coronavirus in the same region the outbreak originated. It’s not that far fetched to think it was a possibility. It should’ve been considered, shouldn’t have been laughed at, and those who wondered about it shouldn’t have been labeled racists.

So, f***. After 2 and 1/2 years of ducking it, the wife tested positive for covid yesterday, and I did so today. Feeling pretty s***** overall.

This is just not true.

Certainly, there are a lot of people who have very minor cases no worse than a cold. But there are a lot of people who end up with severe cases, hospitalization, and lasting effects. And there are a lot of people who die because of this virus. It is correct that the virus is becoming easier to deal with, and we will eventually get to a point where it's a normal part of life going forward. We will adapt. But it's not just a cold, and while I don't advocate for continued lockdowns and being overly cautious to the point you're staying indoors forever, I do think it's very wise to be aware that we still aren't out of the woods just yet.

The reason people call you a troll is because you say things like this constantly. Stop spreading lies and maybe people won't think you a troll.

I had an at home and PCR test that confirmed: I do not have covid.

But I have an extremely awful cold.  Much worse than my experience with covid.

Been bed ridden all day.

Am I the only one who had never had any Covid vaccine side effects?

Aside from slight aching, I didn’t have any with my updated booster.

I also just had covid in July so that might have something to do with my lack of side effects?

Side effects have been pretty annoying achiness and fatigue. But tylenol helps.
