Hmm, I don't know that much about the UK electoral procedures, but the vote already ended two days ago, so I'd expect to see something official.

Thanks, Tender. That explains everything.

Yeah, the same reason LPR was second in Poland in 2004.

PSL: 7.0%
---------------
Twój Ruch (Palikot): 3.7%
SP: 3.1%
Polska Razem: 2.8%
Ruch Narodowy: 1.5%

Margin of error: 1.5%, which means that PO, PiS, SLD, KNP and PSL will have seats, while the rest will not

I'm happy for SLD, which means better position for PES, but the fact Janusz f-king Korwin-Mikke got over 7%... sick country.

With partial official results (91% of the precints) it appears that barely, but PiS had actually won the election. The first win since 2005. Also, PSL overtook Korwin for 4th place.

PiS: 32.35%
PO: 31.29%
SLD-UP: 9.55%
PSL: 7.21%
NP: 7.06%
-------
SP: 4.04%
TR: 3.45%
PR: 3.08%

Still, PiS and PO will have 19 seats each, SLD-UP five, PSL and NP four.

Still good news. Smiley

A fact that PiS has almost won the election and, by low turnout, a fringe group get 5 seats, including a guy who just recently said that "women enjoy being raped and only pretends to resist", is hardly good news for me.

Not as bad as France, but still.

PiS now claims they, in fact, had "won" the election, because of "irregularities".

Reminds me of what happen after Kaczyński's defeat in 2010. First, they nicely conceded, then started screaming bloody murder about "lack of legitimacy" and purged the "moderate" faction, for causing party the harm during the campaign (while, in fact, because of taking a "moderate" image, Kaczyński was so competitive).

If Juncker does not become President of the Commission, that's going to be a disaster. Obviously, he was not my candidate when I casted my ballot, but if you first tell the electorate they will have a saying in electing President, and then you're starting to screw with it, it's pretty much destroys what remains of dream about Democratic EU.

Well, in fairness, it's not like Europeans seemed to care about the choice either. Considering how little publicity it has drawn, most probably didn't even know they were supposed to choose the commission's president.

That is true, of course. However, at first the election was suppoused to determine President among candidates nominated by parties, which makes stuff currently going on disguisting.
