A Trump endorsement would be very important in a race like this, and Trump doesn't like Massie. That doesn't necessarily mean Cameron will win or get the endorsement, though.

It's not impossible for a bad enough Republican to lose Kentucky if McConnell is forced to resign early due to a health issue, and an off-cycle special election takes place. It happened in Alabama in 2017.
