So more than a couple polls as of late have had the Tories falling below 25% (latest YouGov has them at 23%, another one the other day had them down 48-24), just noise or is the bottom starting to fall out?

Use the swings from Yougov's Welsh polls, they have been reliable when applied to the national British picture.

Wasn't there talk of returning the Elgin marbles being part of the Brexit deal? Pity that didn't happen.

I'll tell you a little well known secret.

The Greek PM introduced his new tax bill this week, which is full of tax hikes, especially for the self-employed.

Taxes for them for someone who has 15k profits will go up from 3.7k to 10.4k , that will force huge price increases to pay for the tax rises, which will impact the rest of the economy.

So the view in Greece is that the Marbles issue was used (as is often) to brush the new tax bill from the greek headlines.

I've also seen this claim made (with as little actual evidence) about the offspring of Mr and Mrs Balls.

Almost as if it is being coordinated or something.

Talking about coordination, there appears to be an effort to oust Ed Davey and replace him with his deputy Daisy Cooper.

And I wondered why Liberal Democrat affiliated media where making loud noises for months about the Post Office, it's a way to force Davey's resignation.

YouGov has Labour leading 47% to the Tories on only 20%. Reform on 12%.

Rather different to the 40% to 26% vote indicated by the MRP data…

Reform would start winning seats once it goes above 18% or so.

Quite a way to go, however Farage's decision to get back in or not becomes more important.

On the insides of that poll:

2020 CON : 35% CON, 21% D/K , 18% REF , 12% LAB
2020 LAB : 73% LAB, rest single digits.
2020 LD : LAB 34% , LD 30% , D/K 21%

Labour voters clearly want to win.

Anyone want to build a Northern Megacity?

"Wow, not seen this before. The UK (excluding London) is shockingly poor. Big problems with a mono-polar economy, even across a multinational union.

h/t @john_tomaney on LinkedIn"

How much worse is regional inequality in the UK compared to other countries with a primate city?

Much worse.

Glasgow has a similar life expectancy to Gaza.

Basically since Thatcherism the UK, with the exception of London's financial district and it's rural aristocratic estates, is as poor as some in eastern europe.

Her "they don't deserve to live" religious attitute and economic puritanism caused permanent economic damage to Britain:

By the time she left, Italy had a larger economy.

Parris has always hidden some quite unpleasant views behind that shit-eating grin.

He's the poster boy for the "Far Center".

Living proof that there are 3 extremes, not just left and right.

It does show the decline in the quality of MPs generally that Wragg is often referred to as a 'senior Tory MP'. It also shows that political careers are getting shorter - the supposedly 'senior' Wragg has only been an MP since 2015.

Most of the Labour frontbench is also very new to parliament.
