My partner and daughter have been last-minute phone banking and have, combined, spoken to three Ossoff/Loeffler voters. One did so because he wants "younger leaders" and "doesn't vote for old people anymore." The other two did not specify.

But no Purdue/Warnock voters I take it?

Congrats to the poster who made an anti-Semitic comment 30 minutes after a moderator posted about being Jewish and I wasn't even the one who got their first to delete it.

I shouldn't give oxygen to this morons fire, but was it some new guy / gal, or an established poster?

Congratulations to governor-elect Stacey Abrams on winning the 2022 Georgia gubernatorial election and becoming the first black female governor of Georgia.

It could very well happen.
No joking.

Huge huge distinction between this type of nationally intensified special election in the wake of Biden's win versus a buy midterm election two years from now.

I've been a little out of the loop the last couple weeks due to the holidays and work. Has a new DNC chair been picked to succeed Perez? If not, that's where Abrams needs to go. I've never been a big fan, but after her organization pulled off wins for Biden and, fingers crossed, what looks to be taking back the Senate as well, she's got my all in support.

Sources: MillennialModerate is beside himself. Driving around downtown Boston begging (thru texts) Warnock's family for address to Raphael's home

This isn’t over. Pages I’m seeing still shows Dems behind

And if Osoff doesn’t win it’s worthless.

Every time I think about taking your non-stop dooming and simpering off of ignore, I peek at one of your posts, and I'm reminded that ignoring you is Simply good taste.

McSally or Loeffler? Who is more pathetic?

Loeffler. At least McSally served this country honorably in the military and didnt become filthy rich from cheating people.

Being in the military isn't inherently honorable but yeah sure I'm glad she never did the insider trading.

But she had an honorable service record.

That doesn't mean anything.

Except it does? One can readily distinguish not wanting to write the Pentagon blank checks for our budget, olposing a belligerent foreign policy, plus not writing off one's reactionary boneheaded views because they spent 4 years in uniform, while still understanding that military service is an honorable and patriotic vocation.

Wonder how MillennialModerate is reacting to getting Georgia horribly wrong, again

Oblivious to change or Insight, per usual.

Only saw it tonight in response to this tweet. Surely this politics minded Forum recalls it was blatantly ripped off from Michael Steele's Maryland Senate campaign in 2006?

Still, an awesome ad.

A Dem sweep would likely mean Garland will be the Attorney General

If after all that it's Garland and not Yates (another Georgian) that'll be disappointing.

AG Doug Jones, please.

You have to admit that Mark Kirk was a good guy. Easily the most liberal Republican Senator this decade.
This isn't relevant to the thread but Mark Kirk ran a racist campaign against Tammy Duckworth in the closing weeks. Not a "good guy" by any means even if he is better than most if not all of his Republican colleagues.

He had a stroke that completely messed up his brain. Mark was extremely sharp before that, winning reelection to his House seat by 6 points in the middle of a massive Democratic wave year as Obama carried it with 61%. That speaks volumes about how strong he was.

Kindly do not blame a racist election campaign on a stroke.

Wasserman might be getting close to seeing enough on the regular race?

That’s kinda old

In these circumstances? Never!

Or am I missing something?

DeKalb is going to wipe that out

Mark my words this isn’t even close to over

At this point I think Perdue wins and Loeffler loses.

Why? None of the analysis out there suggests Perdue is going to win.
None of the analysis said Trump would win in 2016. I don't blindly trust the media.

I'll tell you exactly why I think this - so far, Perdue has held a stronger lead over Ossoff than Loeffler has held over Warnock. Perdue has been a serious, if not low key, member of the Senate. On the other hand, Loeffler, whom I personally like a lot, is being perceived as the billionaire's wife. Her husband runs the boardroom, and she runs the Federation of Republican Women's weekly brunch. She's not as serious a candidate, and she's up against a much stronger opponent than Perdue is.

Everything short of that first sentence stopped being relevant since the polls closed. Now start to measure where the outstanding vote is, and Purdue's chances seem pretty grim

So no democrat majority after all?? I'm not sure whether to trust this (yet).

F**k Joe Manchin

Dude. Chillax. This source is about as reliable as a deal for Everglades seafront property or the Brooklyn Bridge.

My Texas-sized hand is still extended in truce to MillennialModerate

Mighty Noble and big-hearted of you, my man. But a truce implies a lasting peace, which implies Millennial moderate will ever change.

LOL, the gap is 19k.

OSOFF IS NOT WINNING. Holy sh**t I’ll take apologies in writing.

The lynch mob mentality in this group is hilarious

Make you a deal. If Purdue wins, I take a year off from The Forum. If not, you do.

Either way, neither one of us posts in this thread again until the sun comes up tomorrow.

Deal? Put up or shut up. If you refuse, I call you to stop posting here until tomorrow.

Ashamed of my state once again.  Georgia is a blue state now, and its sad we let the country down.

This loss is 100% on Trump.  That Dumba$$ convinced enough people in rural Georgia this was rigged and their vote didn't matter.  Idiocracy!!!!!!!!!!!

SMFH Georgia
I agree. I think the Republican Party should shift away from right-wing populism and move back towards how it was under Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush. All of the right-wing populists need to leave the Republican Party and form their own political party.

Trump and Reagan are very similar. Two deadbrains who inspired cults to support their horrifically bad economic policies. F*** em both.
At least Ronald Reagan was not a fascist. I would enthusiastically pick Ronald Reagan over Donald Trump at any time.

Me too, and I DESPISED Reagan.

Fox isn't even bothering to cover the election anymore. The election graphics are up, but they've pivoted to guns.

Georgia is blue for the foreseeable future unless Dem's nominate a toxic candidate.  If Ossoff can beat Perdue there is really no excuse for Dems not to win in the state from now on.

I wish that were true, but these and Biden's wins we're razor close in a democratic year. We've reached purple status, but not Atlas red Georgia. It's got at least another several years to a decade of continuous demographic change before it becomes another Colorado or Virginia.
