Because it would be nice if at least one AZ Senator wasn't a shameless right-wing shill.

Gallego would probably be too progressive for Arizona. Someone more moderate like Greg Stanton would do better.

Ideology hasn’t had a single ounce of effect on general elections so far, I doubt it starts to have one now Roll Eyes

Will Grant Woods back single payer? Will Grant Woods seek to break up the military industrial complex? Will Grant Woods fight to protect the rights of labor unions? Will Grant woods fight for environmental justice? Because those are things many Democrats in the senate won’t do, but Ruben Gallego would.

You’re not undestanding me: electing Grant Woods is keeping this seat in Republican hands, even if he has a D next to his name.

I do not want someone like Grant Woods to be welcome in this party.

I couldn't have said this better. Grant Woods is an oppurtunistic, right-wing Republican. He is not a Democrat and never will be. So-called “moderates” have no place in the Democratic Party and they will be the first ones selling out the working class to corporate interests. They are complacent in the destruction of our democracy. Anyone supporting Woods over Gallego should be ashamed of themselves.

Do you know what Democrats need?

A governing majority.

Do you know what's not going to get the Democrats there?

A purity test.

Yes because the way to get a Democratic governing majority is to run Republicans. Roll Eyes

Anyone who ever thought Grant Woods was a good choice for Democrats is an utter clown who deserves no say in American politics ever again.

Great to hear that Gallego is likely to jump in. He's charismatic, a veteran, and Latino, an excellent triple combo when running against McSally. Of course, Atlas posters are gonna be pushed away by his more Progressive attitudes(even though there is no proof whatsoever that we need a Conservative Democrat for this race), but by most other parameters, Gallego is one of the top candidates we can field.

Yeah, Gallego is by far the best candidate.

*cough* Sinema *cough* only outpreformed *cough* the rest of the ticket *cough cough*, by 2-3 points *cough*.
*ACHOO*
Sorry there, got a cold last weekend.

*cough* Ducey won by 14 points *cough* and the GOP won the Attorney Gneral's race by five *cough* and the Treasure's race by 9 *cough* while Sineme won by 3 points *cough* She outperformed the rest of the ticket significantly *cough*
Sorry I think something is going around.

And Jay Gonzalez lost by 33 points, while Elizabeth Warren won by 24 despite being to his left.

These comparisons are idiotic.

Identifying good candidates is quite literally the only thing Schumer is good at.

This is sincere, right? Who has he drafted previously?

He has been the brains behind most of the party's A+ recruits since he led the DSCC in 2006. From what I've heard, he essentially recruited Bredesen single-handedly (which made Bredesen's ridiculous vow to oppose him as leader even more absurd). He should be permanent DSCC leader imo, somebody tougher and more skilled at legislating should be leader.

Yeah, Bredesen was such a star recruit he lost by 10 points. Tongue

10 months before the general, it doesn't really matter how she's campaigning. Voters have the memory of a goldfish.

LMAO, I hope this is true.

SLAY

Sinema is (and I mean it in the best way possible) a stone-cold b***h. I don't like her politics but I gotta respect that about her.
