I knew this forum was full of upper-class white college kids who don't have families but damn I was not expecting Terry's anti-parental involvement quote to be spun into a positive.

After all these months away it's good to see that some things haven't changed, like you being a disingenuous hack.

It's a given that McAulliffe could win by 10+ and the media will spin it as bad news for Democrats.

The cope in this thread is lol, it reminds me of Nc Senate 2020. This will obviously hurt democrats.

Umm, that was a guy cheating on his wife.
Literally the exact opposite of what happened here.

My guess is that it hurts for the same reason it hurt Katie Hill in 2019, which is that it makes her look unprofessional.

What? The problem with Katie Hill was that she was involved with a subordinate. Not the same thing at all.
You assume the voters see things the way you do and are able to carefully think through situations.

I have a hard time believing that even the stupidest voter can't tell the difference between having sex with somebody who is your husband and having sex with somebody who is not.

Actually, yeah, whether you like that or not. This absolutely would (and should) be a major discussion in such a case, and not without good reason.

The leader for your party is a reality show star. So I don't know if this is a discussion you really want to have.

Even if it's true how is that worse than what Northam did in college?

I agree that consensual sex work is just another job and not any sort of disqualifying scandal, but that of course doesn't mean that candidates won't be judged by their choice of job just like they would for being a prosecutor, a hedge fund manager, etc.

No it is not

If prostitution is legal in a jurisdiction then why is it different that any other service job?

Interesting that Northam’s endorsement is now coveted. Spanberger herself called for his resignation (as did almost every VA Democrat):

Northam's deeds made everyone forget this embarrassing incident. He delivered on most Democratic priorities despite all the hand-wringing be leftists that he was a DINO and would stymie the liberals in the legislature.

Actually, the push to oust Northam got stalled once it became apparent that the next two people in line after him also had baggage of their own, and the third person in line after that was a Republican at the time.

And what's that got to do with your puzzlement about Northam's endorsement being so coveted?
