Stop derailing the thread with loaded questions and saying "cope". This is not a thread debating whether suspending elections is good or bad. I simply voiced my frustration with the results.

You were trolling. You advocated to suspend elections and install dictatorship. Which is a  offense that can get you banned. You can voice frustration with results but not with democracy itself. I really hope you are just some edgy kid.

Lmao, lula despises generic liberals, most likely he doesn't care what nonsense a NATO servant has to say.
Considering the growing wave of fascism around the world, Lula most definitely considers himself in the same camp as Biden, Trudeau, and Macron. Vs Trump, Bolso, Netanyahu, Putin and Xi

Any chance Lula hits 51%? He’s currently at 50.9% with 99.95% of the vote in

Why did Bolsonaro win Rio De Janiero?? I thought that was a fairly left-wing city
Rio de Janeiro has a considerable evangelical population, in particular in places like Campo Grande and Santa Cruz, I have family who lives there and most of them voted for Bolsonaro for this exact reason, they're very religious and they hate Lula. From the time I lived and visited there, I also have observed that a lot of people there have a "criminals are irredeemable and deserve to die in the hands of the police" view, which obviously fits Bolsonaro's agenda a lot more than Lula's (this is anecdotal, but I think it's worth noting).
When you say evangelical, are you talking about Protestant Christians, just Pentecostals, or anyone strict in general including Catholics?

Bravo to Brazil. 80% turnout. 99% of the vote reporting within two hours. Very impressive for a third world nation. US states like Nevada and New York should really do better...

Why did Bolsonaro wait 44 hours to issue a statement? I suspect he was exploring all his options, like a coup

Bolsonaro has left the country and is in Florida now. It’s finally over, even if his term only really ends January 1st.

This moment was so anticipated, it’s kinda weird how it feels like an afterthought now.
Did he flee the country? Or is he just on vacation?

According to the media, his lawyers advised him to leave the country while he is still president. Presidents can be trialed only by the Supreme Court. An ordinary citizen (like he will be when he becomes a former president) can be sued by any local court.
Can he be sued in absence?

Is Lula looking to charge him? That might force the Biden administration to hand him over.

I have my doubts the Biden Administration will extradite Bolsonaro, or if they are willing I highly suspect Bolsonaro is using the US as a transit point to flee elsewhere—most likely Israel.
Why not? It would be an epic FU to all wanna be dictators around the world

This is surreal. Did the President of the world's sixith largest country really just flee?

I suspect its just trolling. Not only will he not hand over the presidential stash, he won't even be in the country. Similar to Trump not being in DC for Biden's inaguration.

That said, if he is truly fleeing the country to avoid jail, this is historic.
