He remains by far the best of the candidates polling above 1%, and I hope he runs away with the race. I see Trump comparisons as more appropriate than Jeb Bush. A loud minority on the Internet opposes him, but they represent a rather insignificant part of the Democratic base. He will keep picking up shares as lower tier candidates drop out the same way Trump did.

Thus far this has been the most low energy event (rally) I have ever attended. Hopefully Joe brings the energy because you can tell these people aren't enthused by him quite the way Hillary and Obama brought out Superfans the energy is definitely not being driven by the crowds' anticipation.

I did not attend those rallies, and I would imagine it is possible that they are comparing to GE crowds, but there was an enormous amount of space to walk around.very limited group in the standing room area.

Is this just my impression, or has Biden really aged and slowed down? I watched the first 10 minutes of his Iowa speech and found them incredibly boring and even confusing at some points. Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for our former VP and would whole heartily support him as nominee, but let's be real: The dude is not creating a lot of enthusiasm. If he ends up as nominee and this continues, I would be very worried regardless of the polls.

Totally agree. I am growing increasingly concerned after the great initial kickoff and then sub-par Philadelphia kickoff. And I am not happy with his flip flop on Hyde, so I may as well go back to Pete if there is minimal policy difference. The downside to Pete is still the electoral games he wants to play. Biden at least remains conciliatory.
