Truly the most vile politician in America. I don't understand how anyone in the Democratic base will support her, and I fully expect her to bomb out Jeb Bush-style, if not Scott Walker-style. Trump would absolutely own her in a general. Gillibrand and Booker are both significantly more qualified and ideologically/culturally palatable to the electorate.

e: by Jeb Bush-style, I mean someone who is completely out of touch with the desires of the base. The Scott Walker-style scenario would require her to not be able to find any niche at all because all her statements are generic platitudes (see: announcement speech) that no one will actually be enthused about

There isn't one candidate in this race who is going to guarantee that no one will ever go to jail ever again.

Trump might, at least for white collar crime.

That's the only "crime" I care about fixing.

California Democrats are the absolute worst.

DiFi is one of the best people in the Senate. California was a great state for so long until now.

When "What are your three favourite songs" is an enormous struggle.........

I began today thinking that she may be the third or fourth most likely nominee after Biden and Warren, perhaps Beto. Now I realize that this woman has no chance of being elected President. This is so stiff and embarrassing and beyond fake.

Whatever deceptive math tricks help you sleep at night....those ratios are well within the margin of error. A three or four percentage points in unfavorability has a significant impact on any one person's ratio when discussing a primary electorate.

It's also not how you win a primary. Donald Trump certainly had the worst in that metric for the entirety of the primary season (with perhaps a brief stretch for Ted Cruz).

If Harris is the nominee I'm changing my registration to Republican and voting for Trump.

Yah, man - p sure we supposed to be at war this weekend, but I'm co-signing this. I refuse to retain membership in a political party that would nominated someone so extremely bigoted.

You're not even a Democrat. You two need to stop gas lighting this thread.

I am a Democrat and have voted for every Democrat for five straight elections with the exception of HilLIARy Clinton (Stein) and Tom Wolf reelection (Joe Paterno) and one Republican judge in 2015.

Also, I really appreciate how the word 'gaslighting' has resurged into pop culture based on what I can only imagine was the tweet of a single individual. I had a professor that used it all the time several years back. Now it seems to be the first accusation everyone makes against their enemies this month. Really tedious adoption of language.

You voted against Wolf because of... Joe Paterno? You need to get better at lying.

Are you saying we’re enemies? Are you insane?

Lying is one of the gravest sins a man can commit*, and I only relearned that lesson as I entered adulthood. A man's word is his entire integrity, and it matters a great deal that I am fully honest at all times in order to be believed. As such, I take such accusations very seriously. As the election was a guaranteed blowout, I took Trump's phrase that "we're going to bring back JoePa" literally. While watching Penn State's traumatic collapse to the Buckeyes last year with two Nittany Lion alums, I made a promise to them that I would vote for the greatest coach they had from a time they could hold a lead over the Buckeyes.

Further, I have text logs with my family from the day of the election that I have shared with more trustworthy members of this forum documenting this vote. (Law is fuzzy on photographing ones ballot and I prefer to strictly follow the law if possible.)

Unfortunately the only pen I brought was a little low on ink (I had not previously known the concept of a write in was literal rather than something you type) so I inked "Joe" and pushed down really hard to get the last name on there. Joe Pa could certainly be made out. I only hope they counted it as such.

*Some lies may be necessary but not over trivial matters when dealing with other adults. A guilty plea to save oneself years of torment from an unjust justice system may be required, for example.

She has an opening now from Biden, hopefully polls will change

But you said Harris would lose to Trump. Why do you want the two frontrunners to be thuse you called 'least electable'? Would you go to Bernie?

Harris proposed to give $100 billion to fund black home ownership. I'm not black so I dont' get any assitance? What the .
I stopped supporting her.

Pretty sure this is false and the income limit set for the proposed policy would provide very significant benefits to already ok white folks. Based on the reaction I'm seeing, seems like a surefire way to tick off both white working class and woke black Twitter.

Booker is really skewing the polls in favor of Biden over Harris. History books will be written, had Booker endorsed Harris after racial tensions, she would have had a chance. Now they both wont get enough delegates

Booker is polling 3%, and it looks increasingly unlikely that he will be around for New Hampshire or South Carolina. Even if a majority of his voters went to Harris (unlikely given that they probably have some other problem stopping them from supporting her now), it's not going to move the needle.

Normally agree with you, my man, but you gotta just get back on the Biden train yourself.

Man, I can't stand Tulsi:

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jul/23/tulsi-gabbard-kamala-harris-not-qualified-serve-co/

Tulsi has been bizarrely silent on and defensive of Biden who she actually disagrees with, but goes after Kamala on temperament?

I knew she was a bad draw on the debate stage for Harris. I am hoping her political irrelevance doesn't give her a real opportunity to go after Kamala on stage. And the merits of her opinion aside, dumb to telegraph a potential punch weeks out. Harris kept her mouth shut before knifing Biden so effectively.

Kamala Harris is a frontrunner who can speak however much she wants about any topic on the debate stage. Tulsi is an also-ran who needs to pick a fight in advance to hopefully steer the moderators towards asking her to double down. We saw this from the GOP also-rans in 2016. They were often unsuccessful in doubling down.

The funny thing about this debt policy is that Trump can spin it as Kamala trying to racketeer business taxes (traditionally higher during Democratic administrations) while burning money away in debt forgiveness (thus screwing over taxpayers twice) and voters would eat it up in important states like Florida, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania - lmao.

I've never liked Joe Biden more in my life.

As if this useless plan will be on anybody's radar in a month and Trump will remember to attack it for these reasons instead of calling out Oakland as a failing city and San Francisco as a homeless hangout.

This is me eagerly awaiting the rollout of Trump's school transportation alternative that he promised a month ago.

Stop, it's already dead!!! I get that this is airheaded, but throwing policies out during a primary is not supposed to be a serious exercise that requires legitimate evaluation prior to election. How is literally everyone throwing a burn at this? What did Liz start in this endless series of less and less serious proposals?
