Not for a higher office. Ancient religions seem less radical because they rely on ideas that could be metaphorical and they have a long-standing base. Recent ones like Scientology are just insane. They don't mean these things as metaphors and they are just radically insane ideas. Christianity, Judaism, and Isalm may not be much better, but there is nothing as inconceivable as Scientology. You can almost view Scientology as a spoof of organized religion, like Pastafarianism.
