I just messaged Jerry on this - I'm currently finishing up a big presentation that I have to give tomorrow. If I'm not able to update this later tonight, it will come tomorrow.

RealClearPolitics

Polling Update

NATIONAL AVERAGE

Obama/Biden: 49%
Ayotte/Christie: 42%
Ventura/Paul: 7%
Undecided/Other: 2%

Analysis:
After an exciting round of conventions, we see things similar to how they were before. Republicans did well at handling Hurricane Isaac, and were able to put on a convention that was finally able to unite Republicans around the Ayotte-Christie ticket - conservatives and Tea Party members around the nation are finally starting to get excited about this election.

Meanwhile, in New York City, the Libertarians held their own convention rally, one that nearly sold out Madison Square Garden. Governor Jesse Ventura got major press as his convention speech was aired on multiple major networks.

Finally, the Democrats concluded conventions with an exciting and dramatic one in Charlotte, where Hillary Clinton was named the Vice Presidential choice. Despite poor economic conditions, Democrats are optimistic that "The Dream Ticket" will deliver them a big victory in November.

Shoot, y'all are desperate for an update...then no one posts!

I plan on doing the update tomorrow or Sunday. If no one else posts...well, expect a Ventura surge.

Polling Update

NATIONAL AVERAGE

Obama/Biden: 48%
Ayotte/Christie: 43%
Ventura/Paul: 7%
Undecided/Other: 2%

Analysis:
The Democrats are enthused and running and active campaign, though they received a setback this when former President Clinton was sharply criticized for calling the Tea Party "stupid". Analysts argue that both parties need to start coming out with solutions, rather than just criticize the other side. Folks also argue that the Democrats are acting too dismissive towards Republicans, coming across arrogant at times. With such negativity, could we see a rise among third-parties?

There has been plenty of time to post an update - Ventura will be receiving a boost this week as a result. However, I will still give the major candidates tonight to post their schedule - an update WILL COME TOMORROW!

Whoever runs the better campaign the rest of the way wins. The debates could also decide things. I think the Obama campaign got a little complacent, and the Ayotte campaign has drastically improved in the last few weeks. Christie/Lumine has provided a major boost to the campaign.

I know, but this game will keep rolling untill february I expect and I don't think that I will be able to be Hillary so much time? Can I be just a surrogate? Like Jerry Brown?

DEBATE 2012

Here are the questions to the 1st Presidential debate! This debate will focus on the economy. Candidates will have approximately two minutes to respond to each question - I will be counting in my head as I read the answers, so excessively long answers will be cut off which will hurt your overall effect. Following the debate, a flash poll will indicate who wins the debate.

Questions:
- What are the major differences between the candidates in terms of how you would go about creating  new jobs?
- How you would go about tackling the deficit problem in this country?
- In terms of reducing the debt, where will you place more emphasis: Increasing revenue or cutting the size of the government?
- Are you supportive of Simpson-Bowles?
- What do you see as the major difference between the candidates on Social Security and other entitlement programs?
- Conclusion

Debate Results:
The first debate ended in basically a wash between the three candidates. Both Ayotte and Ventura promised similar messages of smaller government and lower taxes, arguing that the last four years have been a failure and putting the President on defense. Governor Ventura took it a step farther by attacking Republicans as well, and certainly scored points with the Tea Party with his independence. Senator Ayotte was strong at articulating what the next four years would look like under her administration, which should help put to rest the argument that the Republicans don't have a plan. President Obama was unable to go on the offensive too much, but held his own in defending his policies as President.

Flash Poll:
Who won the Presidential Debate?
Senator Kelly Ayotte - 36%
President Barack Obama - 35%
Former Governor Jesse Ventura - 20%
Unsure - 8%

RealClearPolitics

Polling Update

NATIONAL AVERAGE

Obama/Biden: 45%
Ayotte/Christie: 44%
Ventura/Paul: 8%
Undecided/Other: 3%

State Polls

Virginia:
Obama/Clinton - 45%
Ayotte/Christie - 42%
Ventura/Paul - 7%

Ohio:
Obama/Clinton - 45%
Ayotte/Christie - 44%
Ventura/Paul - 6%

Minnesota:
Obama/Clinton - 45%
Ayotte/Christie - 30%
Ventura/Paul - 17%

New Mexico:
Obama/Clinton - 44%
Ayotte/Christie - 40%
Ventura/Paul - 11%

Weekly Analysis: This week balanced out between the Ayotte and Obama campaigns - Ayotte has begun to see a surge among female voters, and more and more voters are believing she is qualified to be President, an area she struggled with early on. Ms. Clinton hit the campaign trail, with her husband taking a more distant role. Additionally, strong advertising has given President Obama the edge in several swing states.

October 1st - 7th has now begun! Smiley

Turn will last for roughly 72 hours. There will be a Vice Presidential Debate this round. I will be posting the questions shortly.

My schedule will come soon, but it looks like you forgot to post the debate questions again.
I didn't "forget" to do anything. I traditionally post the debate questions within the period for posting schedules, and if you recall, I paused the game several days ago due to the holidays. When I am personally ready to resume, I will post the debate questions, which will likely be tomorrow.

I apologize for poor formatting - with my family, so am on the computer only for a little bit each day...

Vice Presidential Debate Questions:
1. Almost four years ago, the government took control of GM. Vice President Biden has stated that the bailout was a success. Was it?

2. What role do you envision yourself having in the administration if your ticket is victorious next month?

3. What will be your chief policy goal if you become the next Vice President of America?

4. To Governor Christie: You've only been Governor for two and a half years, and Senator Ayotte has been a Senator for even less. Why should the American people trust a ticket with this amount of experience?

To Secretary Clinton: The 2008 primary race was seen as a nasty fight between yourself and President Obama. You said some harsh things about the President, questioning his leadership. How can we expect the two of you to have a strong working relationship?

To Congressman Paul: You've been a principled Congressman for decades, giving you more experience in Congress than anyone else in this race. As a third-party administration, how will your administration be able to bring both sides together to get things done?

Spiral has informed me that Spamage has internet problems and will not be able to post frequently for a while. As a result, I have asked him to post the debate questions. After this turn concludes, we'll wait to finish the following one until a replacement is found.
