I would consider these to be the 25 most significant conflicts the United States of America has engaged in.

Various wars with individual Native American tribes didn't make the cut; neither did various interventions, or the American participation in the multinational coalition that put down the Boxer Rebellion.  In some cases I have wrapped various related minor wars with similar objectives together into one broader umbrella war.

Please vote in favor of the ones where you believe America was "the good guys", justified in entering the war based on our national interests and principles, or at least the war had a positive outcome.

More simply, if you were POTUS, would you have engaged militarily in the conflict?

I’m now supportive of the American war of independence. Wars I support historically have been the war against ISIL, WW2, the civil war, and the wars against pirates. What conflicts aren’t included here that I support is the Slave Squadron where we worked to defeat slavery in west Africa and liberation operations against the French in Mexico.

Of course Gmac would exclude such conflicts like the strike of 1877 and the post-independence rebellions.

I wanted to limit it to 25.  Which of my 25 would you remove to replace with the conflict you mentioned?

Nicaragua was probably the first cut candidate.  I picked it to be representative in general of our Banana Republic interventions and occupations.
