I think there’s a high chance Sanders really outperforms his polling in Iowa. He tended to way outperform his caucus polling across the board in 2016, probably due in large part to him having the most enthusiastic supporters who will go through hell and back to vote for him

Look - a conman.

This is going to hurt him in the suburbs in the GE.

Warren’s horrible reply to that father in Iowa will hurt a lot more in the suburbs if you ask me 😉

I've held it in for so long….But it's time to come out with my story of a traumatic experience with Bernie Sanders. Warning: the following is disturbing and could be highly upsetting.

I saw Bernie Sanders at a grocery store in Burlington last year. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now, you establishment hack?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh corporatists, huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Ben and Jerry's ice cream cups in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be busy reading his medicare for all plan, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the cups and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electoral infetterence, as that plays into the game of the millionaires and billionaires”, and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each cup and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by saying "not me, us" really loudly.

Is this a bad attempt at a troll

Somehow the Sanders Campaign got my number and I never gave it to them. I'm afraid to tell them to stop texting me though.

Well they have to stop texting you if you tell them to do so, so I don’t see what the problem is

The problem is that he wouldn't be able to complain about it on US Election Atlas dot org and cite it as evidence that Sanders is terrible as is everyone who supports him.

Unlike you, I don't take this message board seriously enough to be that methodical. Seriously, I don't want to tell them to stop because I don't know if the person behind the messages is one of the more unhinged people who will go off and start sending insults or threats. Anyone can sign up to do texts, so you don't really know who is texting you.

Get a life outside of Bernie Sanders. There are politicians I support, but I don't shape my entire life and existence around. I don't sit around thinking about ways to set you people off. For heaven's sake.

Well you are letting your life be adversely affected by your unfounded suspicions of what Bernie volunteers might do if you tell them to please stop texting you, so you’re the one letting Bernie affect your life

Weird that the desperate Wallace attack was launched today, hmm...

Oh

I have a theory that a lot of Biden’s support is predicated solely on the fact that he’s a perceived winner. If he loses three contests in a row, I imagine his support among the lukewarm parts of his base will crumble

The Democratic Party is such a goddam joke. Bernie is likely getting first while Biden is by most accounts struggling to stay in 4th place. And yet the way the party apparatus messed this up everyone will just pretend Biden’s poor showing doesn’t matter and watch him get the nomination after a long protracted battle.

I honestly don't see him getting the nomination. He needed Iowa.

Thanks, we didn’t see the other 10 places you posted this

The more I watch of the State of the Union, the more tempted I am to jump on Bernie’s bandwagon. We don’t need a return to normalcy, we need a Democratic Trump who will trigger the right with incendiary red meat. The pendulum swings equally as far in the opposite direction. I’m tired of getting treated like Germany after WWI.

Triggering the right is literally the only thing Sanders would accomplish since his agenda is a big joke that has a 0% chance of getting done.

It's a choice between actually wanting to change stuff, or just wanting to trigger the right by going as extreme as possible.

The pendulum wouldn't swing at all since he wouldn't do anything.
The only reason that you think he couldn't change anything is that you (like most of your ilk) are just unimaginative.

You can whine about it being Jacobin all you want, but those are real ideas.

What has Sanders been able to accomplish in Congress?

Nothing. But that’s the thing—no one would. Bernie will at least make EO’s while Biden will sit and let McConnell steal his lunch money and then proceed and try to Neville Chamberlain himself with Republicans

Trump completely reformed the Republican Party, is building a wall, passed criminal justice reform, got out of the TPP, NAFTA, PCA among other agreements, put tariffs on many countries and has done other things the Republican establishment historically never would've accepted.

Is that supposed to challenge my point in some relevant way?

Can someone tell me when the final 3% of results will be released?

Probably right after the Nevada caucuses if it has Bernie ahead in the final count. Otherwise, ASAP

Surprised no one has brought up the ugly Chuck Todd comment. I’m beginning to think he’s the person behind General MacArthur’s deranged account

And it begins

The party establishment is starting to rally behind the nominee.

No, not really.  If this means anything (and I highly doubt that it does), it's a sign that some establishment types are trying to ensure it's possible for the party to rally around Bernie if he's the nominee because right now a lot of Democrats he'll need in November are terrified enough of him that they might sit out the GE.

It speaks volumes of how scared those Democrats are of their own shadows that they would do that

“Sanders was honored to have been endorsed for the Democratic nomination by seven black members of the South Carolina legislature, he announced in a tweet.”

“...two of the lawmakers had collected a combined total of almost $150,000 Sanders’s campaign, according to records.”

You know you can just come out and say the racist thing you want to say instead of imply it

Why did my post asking MacArthur to maybe do some self-reflection on his rants into the abyss get taken down?
