You are doing a fine job Redalgo. You've been more active than the average member and your contributions are thoughtful and constructive. Also, you were the lone vote against that usurpation of power against Atlasian citizens known as the "Contempt of Congress Act."
It is purely to ensure that the Committees aren't ignored. I have no desire to see anybody lose their voting rights or offices, but if one is too inactive to appear before the committee, chances are one isn't doing their job either. I don't see a problem with having there be consequences, and thus responsiblity, attached to these positions. When the jobs aren't done, it subtracts from the playability of the game for everyone.
If your concern is with people who refuse to do their jobs, you can impeach them with a 2/3 vote. When it comes to non-officeholders, I guess we just have a fundamental disagreement about the reach of the Senate and the nature of the game.
