Waterloo was too late in the day to change anything.  In any sense that mattered, Napoleon had already lost by that point.  If Napoleon had won at Waterloo, he'd have lost somewhere else.

Turn back the clock to 1812, and you could've had a scenario leading to Emperor-for-life Napoleon leading a cowed and complacent Europe.

Given that the Napoleonic Wars seem to be taught quite a bit, I'd think there's a decent chance that Austerlitz or Leipzig are also fairly well known nowadays.

No.  Not except in fairly extraordinary circles.  Austerlitz would make a great movie, though.

Trafalgar might be known, but only by the "I went to London once!  Look at this photograph!" crowd.
