McCain: 342
Gore: 196

Gore 2000 was a strong candidate, Gore 2008 is an entirely different person. It's hard to imagine now that Al Gore was nearly President of the United States.

Funny you mention it. I had Oregon going for McCain, then decided to be generous to Gore.

The fact of the matter is, Gore lost the 2000 election to Bush very closely. Had he been against McCain, he would have lost it probably with a 300 EV McCain win.

Since 2000, he has been seen as:

2000-2001: A sore loser
2001-2002: A bearded man
2002-2003: Out of news
2003-2004: HE PLAYED ON OUR FEARSSSSS!
2004-2005: Dean '04!
2005-PRESENT: Wacky enviornment

How the hell does he come back from a complete meltdown?
