Is Cherokee County rural? I was under the impression it was mostly suburban.

Houston isn't really rural, either. It's small-city.

Remember that exit polls are so error-prone that the 29% could be 26% or 33%. (I mean, it's not 33%, but you get it.)

I was watching Fox News and the mirror to the honesty numbers is that both Warnock and Ossoff rate higher for "extreme views" than the others, and I think it was over 50.

Still think Perdue and Loeffler are slight favorites. We knew that Dems would likely outperform Biden in the early vote, but the e-day vote is still the big unkown.

I'll listen to Wasserman thx

Wasserman is a Dem hack and he was wrong about the November election.
That hack is forgetting that the Dem areas also have depressed turnout. For example, Fulton County turnout is at about 86% of November turnout.

Sounds like someone's getting nervous that his beloved Nazi Party might be out of power soon.

Both of you, cool it. I'll delete any more posts in this chain.

If Ossoff wins tonight I’m gonna have to roll up my sleeves and undo my belt and give him a real good spanking.

Take a number, I'm Jewish so I get first dibs

I feel like it's too soon for Ossoff, but Warnock probably has this

From Stephanie Saul @ NYT: Kelly Loeffler is only the second woman to serve as a senator from Georgia. The other, Rebecca Latimer Felton, served for one day in 1922.

Not a terrible record for Loeffler to retire as the second most accomplished female senator in Georgia history

The disappearance of the working class voter without Trump in the ballot is hilarious. Wonder how Republicans will sell the “working class party” narrative without Trump from now on when they are firmly against popular economic stuff like the $2000 stimulus.

Perdue and Loeffler are also poor candidates to appeal to the working class.

Did you see her baseball cap, though? She wears a baseball cap.

Ossoff is below 0.5 on the needle time to doom again everyone

That was 3 minutes, he's back up to a commanding and unassailable 0.6.

It's because of Election Day results coming in more Democratic than expected.

I am happy for this outcome, but overall, not a fan of tantric election days.

Every Confederate statue in Georgia will be melted down and replaced with statues of Stacey Abrams.

Or combine them into one giant statue of her.

Congrats to the poster who made an anti-Semitic comment 30 minutes after a moderator posted about being Jewish and I wasn't even the one who got their first to delete it.

Remember 8 hours ago when Black farmers in rural Georgia voting for Perdue was going to be a thing?

Please keep the Manchin scenarios in their own thread / resurrect the WV megathread from 2018 if necessary.

I’d like to point out that Ossoff is Jewish. So a state with a notorious history of lynching Jews and blacks has just elected them to the senate for the first time at the same time

To be fair, I think there was only one high-profile Jewish victim of lynching, Leo Frank, and you can't really compare that to what African-Americans experienced over time.

Who the heck was the Jewish Deep South Senator in the 1880s?
Senator Benjamin Jonas from Louisiana (1879-1885)

And David Levy Yulee in Florida even before that.

Most of Florida isn't the "Deep South".

It certainly was in the 1850s, though.

Now we’re going to have a Jewish majority leader as well. And Secretary of State, secretary of the treasury, secretary of homeland security, chief of staff, and second gentleman.

True, but we kind of have that now with Jared Kushner.

Biden’s son in laws are both Jewish actually too I think

I didn’t know that. Interesting that Trump, the Clintons, Al Gore, and Joe Biden all have Jewish sons-in-law, as did Jackie Kennedy.

There seems to be around 20,000 Perdue-Warnock voters. I knew there would be some, but thats a lot more than I thought. Why is that? Just didn't like a women? Or are they Lincoln Republicans who can't stand Leoffler

My guess is anti-Trump, but have positive associations with Perdue from his first term.
