Executive Order #29-003

The Pacific Region's Governor has undergone a severe lack of activity, and a majority of the Pacific Council is now MIA as well. This has left the government of the Pacific Region effectively non-functional, and citizen efforts to reform the region are being stymied by lack of leadership and confusion over who is to open voting booths for a variety of recall efforts.

Article 1, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Pacific Constitution grants the federal government the power to declare a new elections Administrator to assist in restoring order when a state of anarchy, defined in the Constitution "as a lack of elections and/or a lack of any comprehensible regional Government."

Therefore, as the citizens of the Pacific have requested a recall of their Governor and are undergoing efforts to restore order to the Pacific government, and there is mass confusion over who is to restore order to the situation, I declare the Pacific Region as existing in a State of Anarchy, and hereby appoint Xahar, as a resident of the Pacific Region, to open and administer necessary Pacific voting booths until June 30th, 2013.

I am relieved to hear that the reports of the "death" of talks between Atlasia and Canada regarding a Common Market proposal are "far from true." My Administration firmly believes in the ideas behind our proposal, and we hope they will be before the Senate very soon for debate.

Secretary Polnut has my firmest support in resuming these talks, and I have asked the GM to consider the social and economic benefits to such an agreement, in an effort to put doubts to rest. I hope, when it is before the Senate's consideration, they will support this plan that will enrich our respective societies.

Secretary Polnut to visit Montreal

Secretary Polnut will be visiting Montreal, Canada on Thursday as part of continuing talks towards great economic union between Atlasia and Canada.

Media reports that the talks were 'dead' are clearly far from true. While this is a difficult set of issues, the Administration is very much committed to having an agreement before the Senate and passed before the election.

Executive Order #29-005

In light of recent events in the Pacific, I am directing the full force of the Atlasian National Guard to protect the stability and sovereignty of the Pacific Region as it is so defined the federal powers that be. I kindly ask the Imperial Dominion of the South to, at the very least, only act in support of federal direction in this situation, if not step down entirely.

Until Senate action, a Supreme Court decision, or action taken by the Pacific citizens to restore order themselves, the sovereignty of the Pacific region, as it has so been defined by the Senate and the Constitution, shall not be infringed by any regional or foreign body.
