This entire situation is a disgrace. There was never any reason to make this particular movement into a public humiliation of defenseless people. US is, of course, under no obligation to accept anyone. But, in this case, its government has deliberately decided to make a public demonstration of its own cruelty. Yes, many others have cooperated in this worthy objective. Human disgracefulness has no limits.
I am Mexican American and follow the news of the case. My Mexican friends say that the migrants deliberately used the children as human shields and the general atmosphere is one of total rejection of the caravan.
