Why is this happening all of a sudden?  Is it because of the so-called caravan?  

What's going to happen to all the people who live in one country but work in the other one?  How will they go to work tomorrow?  Or the people who crossed the border for the weekend?  There are a lot of Americans who visit Tijuana during the weekend, as well as Mexicans who visit San Diego.

My point is that we've meddled in Central America for a century (including numerous real invasions) which has contributed to the area becoming the most violent region in the world, thus the mass exodus to our border. This 'invasion' as you put it is totally self-inflicted.

They are legally trying to seek asylum at the border. The orange fascist has no authority to unilaterally stop the legal asylum process. Hopefully they can make a breakthrough and reach a safe spot to receive sanctuary like a church. We need a new 21st Century Underground Railroad system to help get these innocent folks to freedom and away from the tryanical reaches of the fascist ICE and CBP.
