Trump's approvals in swing states seem more in line with reality:

Michigan: 43/55 (-12)
Pennsylvania: 45/52 (-7)
Wisconsin: 44/52 (-8)

If you look at RCP Trump is slowly becoming more popular. He is now at 46% and it looks like it will slowly go up from there.

If anything, there have been numerous bad poll results for Trump in the last week or so.

Interestingly enough, Trump's favorability is even worse (43-56) in the battleground states versus nationally (43-53) in new CNN poll

I refuse to believe this is accurate when things are so bad that I strongly disapprove of the handling. Who are these people!

Heavy Trump sample.

Gallup, March 2-13, 1019 adults (2-week change)

Approve 44 (-3)
Disapprove 52 (+1)

Quote
Gallup noted a discernable increase in Trump's approval rating around the time he was acquitted by the U.S. Senate. Now, his approval rating is back to where it was before that bounce. Whether the decline reflects the fading of the post-acquittal rally or a reaction to the emerging coronavirus threat is unclear.

Or Gallup should just admit that their sample was way too R heavy.

This poll had him 43-54 last week. A 20 pt swing in one week in a volatile situation seems unlikely.

Approve 47 (+6)
Disapprove 49 (-7)

Corona:
Approve 52 (+10)
Disapprove 42 (-7)

Economy:

This just shows how fluid the situation is. There's no way he has a +10 approval on the economy when we're literally about to hit a recession

It's not Trump's fault, obviously. People are not stupid to blame Trump for this.

But it will change depending of Trump handling it. Hopefully, today Congress will agree on huge stimulus helping people and business. Thank God, Trump is a populist, not a muh fiscal conservative!

Another stat from this poll RE: Corona
B2. Below is a list of issues. Please indicate who you would trust more to handle each one
Responding to the coronavirus outbreak

Democrats in Congress 39%
President Trump 45%

Despite MSM working hard blaming Trump for everything (including shutting down flights from China JFC).

Him shutting down flights to China is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, especially with everything else he's screwed up

Also, is Gallup still oversampling Republicans?

Not sure you'd get a 49% approval with only 43% of Independents approving and 13% of Democrats

YouGov (March 22-24, 1000 people)

Approve- 42% (-4)

Disapprove- 53% (+5)

Worth noting that these polls are generally a lot "noisier" than their weekly polls, but I still just wanted to post some polling.

See, this is why polling honestly can't be taken this seriously right now. Things are fluid, and we're seeing ridiculous shifts in both directions just by the day. TY for posting though. I mean, his approval dropping significantly adds up to how he's been acting in the past few days, but things continue to change by the minute.

The Economist/YouGov weekly tracker, March 22-24, 1500 adults including 1170 RV

Adults:

Approve 46 (+2)
Disapprove 49 (-3)

Strongly approve 26 (+1)
Strongly disapprove 38 (nc)

RV:

Approve 47 (+3)
Disapprove 51 (-3)

Strongly approve 30 (+2)
Strongly disapprove 43 (-1)

2020 (RV only):

Biden 46 (-2), Trump 42 (+1)

The Civiqs tracker has shown a *tiny* bump in Trump approval, but not by much

March 1: 43/54 (-11)
March 11: 44/54 (-10)
March 23: 45/53 (-8)

https://www.people-press.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2020/03/PP_2020.03.26_Coronavirus-Impact_FINAL.pdf
Pew Research, March 19-24, 11357 adults (change from Jan.)

Approve 45 (+5)
Disapprove 52 (-6)

This is a record high for Trump in this poll.

Percentage who rate <x> as doing an excellent or good job responding to the COVID-19 outbreak:

Public health officials such as the CDC 79
State elected officials 70
Local elected officials 69
Ordinary people in your community 63
News media 54
Trump 48

This is the point though - there were a few good days in there where Trump got good press (mostly negative as of late, though) and he could only muster a 45% approval and 48% good job on Corona, when everyone else has a way better approval. So to me, that shows that the more his terrible press conferences and soundbites happen, his # is going to continue to sink.

Trump is literally the only person/entity in the Pew poll that has a negative rating on the handling of the virus. And that's during his little bump phase. That says a lot.

PPP isn't a good pollster and is the only pollster showing Trump approval stagnant or declining with coronavirus, other pollsters have him going up

Not sure where this nonsense of PPP being a bad pollster came from. They're not A+, but they're not terrible, either. And the other poll tracker I posted in here had his approval going down as well.

ABC/WaPo (March 22-25)

Trump overall approval: 48/46 (+2)
Trump Corona approval: 51/45 (+6)

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/coronavirus-impacts-disrupted-lives-elevated-stress-soaring-worry/story?id=69812058&cid=social_twitter_abcn

The caveat being this started on 3/22, which is already basically a lifetime ago in terms of this virus and the response.

That being said, he's seen a general ~+5 approval on the virus in most recent live caller polls.
