I mean, you have to get to the runoff before you can win it, but all this "most conservative Senator" nonsense seems like it would be laying poor groundwork for January.

This. She may be doing it to help her now but I can't imagine any of this is going to help in January.

They ain't playing games here, are they?

What's getting frustrating now is that if Lieberman and Tarver actually dropped out, Warnock may actually have a chance at hitting nearly 50%.

What are the odds that Dems pick up both seats?

0% - Georgia is fools gold barring a TSNUAMI

Odds are better Harrison wins South Carolina

Sure jan

Who has a better chance against Warnock in a runoff?

I'd argue Collins at this point. Loeffler's campaign is a joke

Why is he behind Loeffler in the polls then?

I mean, just barely. But her pandering to the far right is so over the top (and even more so than Collins at this point) that makes her uniquely toxic for a GE now

She really wants to lose the runoff, doesn't she?

Loeffler and Collins only raised $2M each. Warnock raised $13-14M and Ossoff $21M. Loeffler self funds but they are in for trouble whoever gets thru to that runoff.

Really interested in seeing what this county map winds up looking like. With Collins and Loeffler dividing the Republican vote, I'm assuming Warnock carries some non-traditional counties, comes close in some even less traditional counties, and wins the overwhelmingly Democratic counties by even more massive margins than normal.

I know the polls don't suggest it, but given record voter turnout & those dynamics which you mention, what are the odds of us seeing an outright Warnock win on November 3rd at this rate?

The Warnock campaign seems to genuinely believe it's possible, but I'm not seeing signs of that yet. Ossoff's team seems to be betting on a January unity ticket.

It's unfortunate b/c if Lieberman dropped out, I tihnk Warnock would definitely have a chance. But him and Tarver are going to siphen just enough votes away.

While I would love for Ossoff to win outright, a double runoff seems most likely. Would certainly turbo charge turnout.

A Warnock vs Loeffler runoff would be the 2020 equivalent of Jones vs Moore.
Probably more like Kander vs Blunt tbh, though with Warnock winning because Georgia is much less Republican than Missouri is. Warnock will not overperform by Jones vs Moore levels.

I wasn't referring to the context of the states themselves. I meant more that it's a relatively unexceptional Democratic candidate vs someone that encapsulates the absolute worst of the Republican Party.

The recent favorability ratings seem to counter that. If anything, Warnock seems like the perfect candidate for this moment in time in GA.

It would truly be delicious if Warnock made 50 at this point and Loeffler and Collins just made complete fools of themselves in a race to the bottom.
