What's the PVI of the new TX-28? Does either nominee risk losing the general?

I know I sound like a broken record but do really think he beats Kaptur?  I know midterm, red wave yada yada yada but a nutcase like this beating a 20 term incumbent? Trump only carried the new district by 3. Brown won by 17. Heck Cordray won it by 4.

In this environment? Absolutely.

I had to work late tonight so I wasn't able to follow the coverage: any surprises?

Ws this evening:

- Fettersweep
- Summer Lee looks to be in a good position
- Jamie McLeod-Skinner preparing to send Schrader to a farm upstate
- Crypto guy BTFOd
- Cawthorn taken out by the deep state
- Mastriano

TBD:

- PA-SEN GOP primary, although I'm at least glad it's in recount territory

Why is that a W? He's a 'Stop the steal' lunatic who wants to stop Biden from getting PA's electoral votes.

My guess is DeGregorio wins the NJ-05 GOP primary, he seemed more "authentic" during the debate with Pallotta.

Gottheimer is lucky that Pallotta won, DeGregorio would've been a stronger general election candidate.

I moreover proceed on the assumption that he will be Trump's running mate in 2024.

He's not eligible.

This is a very male heavy forum and I think some of us, perhaps myself included, underestimated just how angry so many women are right now.

Yup. I rolled by eyes whenever people like Ayatollah smugly claimed that only partisans cared about abortion. Nonsensical.

Republicans need to put anti bureaucracy ballot measures up as stripping powers from these agencies will probably be popular

It would not be popular lol.

Even after today, you still completely misunderstand what issues actually draw people to the Republican Party.

Being anti bureaucracy should unite every wing of the party :

Cultural conservatives who don’t like wokeness

Economic conservatives for obvious reasons

Libertarians who are anti big government

And Populists who dislike elites having so much power

If you're talking about highly-engaged Republicans, sure. But everyday people just don't care about that stuff.

Focus on what actually draws people to the GOP: crime, immigration, school choice, and "the economy".

These are probably earlies no? If so Omar still a substantial favorite imo

42% reporting. There's still a lot more votes to count, but not early.

Are we gonna blame the DCCC for this one too, or can we maybe admit that this is just what Republican voters want?
