Then there will be a civil war...the odds of them being able to take the rest of Donetsk Oblast are slim but Kharkiv? Lol.

It's not as fantastical as those that say that they will still end up taking Odesa (Ukraine has a better chance of taking Moscow than the Russians have of taking Odesa), but Kharkiv is a fantasy as well. If they couldn't get it in the opening hours of the war when the ZSU was scrambling, they have no chance now. Hell, they couldn't even put it under siege to start the war!
Underestimate the Russians at your own peril

Lukashenko’s son is probably the sexiest person I’ve laid my eyes on this decade. After that it is that Teixiera edgelord with those full lips and then my one true love, Psy

Just as there is no just actor in the proxy war in Ukraine, there is no just actor in this fight in Russia.

This is the time for a proletarian revolution!

Its not like anyone here has any influence at all over the situation.  If Wagner's going to get their hands on the nukes and send the entire world into hellfire, we might as well have fun sh**tposting before it happens.
Not a chance of that happening. We’ll be fine.

I suggest anyone actually terrified of their lives to just log off and do something they usually do for fun, but don’t treat this as a YOLO moment.

I really hope at minimum Russian communists have studied the tactics of Pol Pot, or at minimum Mao. This is a kick em while they are down moment.

Lots of weird fantasies going on here but I guess a return of a Communist Soviet Union 100 years after the first one was born is still more likely than the Western repartition of Russia some people seem to be dreaming about lol

What would really happen in a scenario of a coup though is dangerous extremists in power with their hands in nuclear weaponry.
It really is what with the KPRF being opportunistic and other communist partisans being active against Putin. Polling indicates many people would like to see the return of a USSR, one that would be greater allies to Brazil and the global south just as it was in the old days.

I firmly disagree. The just actor is the sovereign nation defending itself from an imperialist invasion.
The current EuroMaidan regime where decisions are made in Brussels and DC has no right to existence, just as there is no right for Russia to annex Ukrainian territory over the wishes of the people living there.

This is Tom Clancy or Call of Duty sh**t.
This is what happens when you have private armies period.

The return of a Communist Soviet Union would be as much of a disaster as the Fall of the Old Soviet Union.

Different times, different contexts and realities. I hope it’s not what comes out of this but a Communist Russia or even Western-puppet Liberal Russia are more desirable than these hardline extremists in power, in charge of nuclear weapons. Literally anything is.

So I can enjoy Atlas different fantasies, but I just see this having disastrous consequences instead IF these people were to really go through with the chaos.
The current Russian government has only emboldened the west to have a stranglehold over Eastern Europe and have plunged millions into poverty and starvation through their failure at competence and attracting support in Ukraine other than making this about US culture wars. A revival of the Soviet Union would lead to an ushering of prosperity like never before and be able to defeat western imperialism.

This is not a call supporting the fighting of Wagner over Putin, only to do what is right. Also “extremist”, don’t give me this defeatist liberal speak, say what you mean.

Quick Russia is in chaos time for the FRL to establish the People’s Republic of Belogord

Difference is the level of centralization and the minimized role of outside actors. Putin still has a chance at holding onto power

I know this is a rough night for you so I’ll be nice. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
I’m having a Moscow mule right now and some borscht. It’s a day of celebration

Wait, this guy was Putin's cook?

Is this basically the equivalent of George Bush putting Bobby Flay in charge of Blackwater, and then Bobby Flay trying to pull a coup against Rumsfeld?

So how does Russia continue it war on Ukraine after this?

It's clear for anyone to see that Russia is too weak to even control its own territory.
They don’t, Ukraine will see to it that they get most of their territory back and basically end the war

Also, I’m unsurprised the sections of the exiled Russian bourgeoisie are backing prighozin

This is one of those weeks where decades happen.

Yup. Whether Prigozhin wins or loses, there is going to be a very different constitutional order in Russia after this plays out.

I can kinda see this turning to a Warlord Era for Russia.
That could be nice…

I guarantee you a warlord era will be much, much worse for Russian civilians than even Putin's rule, but I suppose your delusional dreams of a communist revolution that will never happen are more important than what actually will happen.

Yeah I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a Warlord Era in a country with nuclear weapons is not a good idea.
