So who's ready for Pete to miraculously jump from fourth place and win in the final party results?

Roll Eyes

Nice non-response to cheating that has absolutely and categorically already happened once.

Cheating? Yeah no...

Incompetence? Sure

I'll take it, but I still have absolutely zero faith in the do-nothing corporatist hack oligarchs of the Democratic Party.

And I guess we can leave the argument at that, because you're one of the few people I've disagreed with in this thread who I have no desire to fight. Tongue

CNN with a massive update much more reflective of the landslide results we've been seeing all day.

Maybe I jumped the gun a little...

Looks like all that remains for Bernie at this point is to slay the Beast of Bloomberg.

At this point, I'm absolutely positive Klobuchar is only hanging around to keep f**king with Pete Buttigieg.

I'm not thrilled about Bernie winning

But Pete...my god he is smarmy.

All efforts must be put in to defeat No Policy Pete and Xerox Mike.
Biden is compared to those two an angel. But right now i don't like any of the candidates in the race now, aside of Bernie himself. My preferred VP pick from all the ones that have ran is Andrew Yang. Young, inspiring, enterprising, Asian-American, has good progressive proposals and might even convince some CEO's to jump on the Bernie train. It will be record turn out from Hispanics and young voters if we have Yang on the ticket.

Biden is in my view leagues above both of them and I would happily support him over either NDA Mike or Smarmy Pete.

As for Bernard's Veep, I expect and desire a pivot to the center with Klobuchar.

Maybe even Steyer...
Personally I'd love Duckworth or Baldwin. Both would be symbolic of a desire for Bernie to appeal to the Midwest and moderates/party insiders (and symbolic of a pivot following the primaries). One would be the first LGBT VP, while the other would be the first disabled war veteran VP. Of course, either would be the first female VP. Tongue

Duckworth, Baldwin, and Klobuchar all have their own appeals.

Yang is admittedly the best good outsider choice, too, but I'd rather one of the above three.

Seems Bernie is having a night of legitimately unbiased good press.

Might be seeing the beginning of the party lining up behind him.

Is it not at least a bit concerning that the frontrunner is losing black voters by double digits?

It would be concerning if he was winning literally no black voters at all like Buttigieg.

With this kind of performance, we can assume (with relative confidence) that Bernie is set to do really well in Texas, California, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, alongside the NE, and most of the Midwest, while cutting significantly enough into the South to cancel out whatever Biden/Steyer/Bloomberg would take.

The race seems to be narrowing out fairly quickly.

This should be the major takeaway. Bernie absolutely deep-fried the entire field tonight with Hispanic voters, which pretty much seals the deal for him in Texas and California, literally the two most important delegate sinks in the primary. He's also slowly making inroads with Black voters, meaning that we could absolutely see him knock out the Big White Three in a few vital Southern states, and his bases in New England, Washington, and Oregon speak for themselves.

What we saw tonight was the rooting of the seed of a winning coalition.

Two blatantly obvious points I think

1) The GOP call every Democrat a socialist from Joe Manchin to Ilhan Omar. It is an attack line that is perhaps not as strong as it once was, to put it rather charitably.
2) The GOP essentially spent most of the last decade as a crypto-fascist party and they're doing fine. I would suggest on that basis that a Sanders nomination would not be the end of the world.

Essentially some of you need to get a f!cking grip.

This. Particularly on the scare-word socialism.

This is exactly what Democrats do to Republicans, except about Fascism. How many times has Trump been called a Fascist? And of course they have their bigotry scare words as well.

The difference is that our claims are objectively true. If it walks like a fascist, talks like a fascist, and s**ts like a fascist, chances are it's a fascist.
