This is a potentially game-changing poll after a unique summit, so it likely deserves a thread on its own.

Oh please. This has a change in approval of literally zero and a decrease of disapproval of 2 from their last poll, which is within the margin of error so it could easily be noise.

This is not remotely a game changer.

But Tender thinks it is, and he is one of the forum's most stubborn users, so don't expect him to concede anything here.

This has nothing to do with me really.

The "megathread" is intended for casual polls that are popping up like mushrooms and show no real movement.

This poll deserves a thread on its own.

This poll shows no real movement...

Quite literally only a shift in disapproval within the margin of error.

Make no mistake, the economy was a lot better back in 2009 - when The Media suddenly started complaining about how horrible it was.

By just about every single measure, this is completely wrong.

CNN (Changes are compared to May2-5):

39% Approve (-2)
54% Disapprove (+1)

Source

They polled respondents on the family separation at the border. That might explain the drop.

The first question was approval or disapproval, so asking the question doesn't affect things. Obviously though, the separation of families would hurt him because it's insanely unpopular.

So even with the Singapore summit, he’s massively underwater on foreign affairs?

Florida, Gravis:
Approve: 49%
Disapprove: 50%

Trump is not at basically 50/50 approval in Florida if he's at a meagre +3 in Montana, of all places.

I wonder why Trump's approval ratings in Wisconsin are lower than in NJ, CT, DE, PA, MI, ME, NH, VA, NM, CO, and NV? According to Morning Consult.

Makes no sense at all. Dems are at a nadir in Wisconsin due to their optics and policies, and DJT is uniquely best fit for the Badger State. Hack poll.

Lmao. The "best fit," shut up while you're ahead.

Ignore anything hofoid says, especially if it's about Wisconsin. He knows nothing about WI politics.

Winning Wisconsin (while the Dems, especially the particularly idiotic Hillary/DNC, piss away the Driftless and Northern Wisconsin) in a close national race when Dubya and Romney can't = Best fit. Let's not be dense. Unlike Scott Walker, he didn't need great margins in WOW to do it, either.

LOL. Trump got less votes in the state than Romney. Trump won WI largely because Clinton got 103,616 less votes than Obama in Milwaukee. If we don't see a massive dropoff in Milwaukee, Clinton wins the state even without the Driftless and Northern Wisconsin.

Because we are 28 months away from the 2020 election and polls are complete natter at this stage of the game?

Also, it’s a Morning Consult 50-state poll. 50-state polls are plain junk.

Wow.

https://poll.qu.edu/new-york-state/release-detail?ReleaseID=2556

Trump only below water in New York 36-57, per new Quinnipiac poll. That's actually a better margin than how he lost the state by. Bad news for Anthony Delgado and Anthony Brindisi.

So even with him doing better than his statewide margin, he's -13 in upstate NY. I fail to see how a -13 net approval for Trump in upstate NY is bad news for Delgado or Brindisi.

Quinnipiac:

58% Disapprove (51% Strongly) (+3)
38% Approve (28% Strongly) (+2)

Source

Their early July poll was 40-55, so this is actually +3 disapproval and -2 approval.
