Yeah, while I think Baldwin would be a great choice in a vacuum, holding down her seat with a Democratic president wouldn't be easy, and we do have to factor these things in.

Not to mention, while Wisconsin is arguably the most crucial state in this election, that 55 to 45 win two years ago was in a democratic wave year against a really bad far-right candidate.

Vukmir is not far right.

Every post about him that isn't insulting him will only encourage him. You don't want that, do you? I certainly don't.

M4A in Washington State

I fall over my Chair if Bernie loses Washington with these sort of Numbers. The only way he'll lose it is if Warren takes enough Votes from him.

I think he will. Biden is absolutely skyrocketing in the polls there up until now.

Also see:

46% Biden trusted with handling an major crisis over 27% Sanders in Washington.

Please, please don't engage in policy arguments in this thread.  There are a ton of other threads for them.  This one is for people interested in tonight's results.

Yeah stop derailing my thread guys.

Maybe we are getting a Biden win but not an emphatic landslide in Michiga. The worst possible outcome imo as Biden would still win the nomination but there isn't an irresistible push for Bernie to drop out and instead the primary goes on for longer.

The most populated counties with the exception of Wayne is in. That's all Sanders's base. With these numbers, a landslide is not out of question.

Half of Washnetaw (Ann Arbor) in on DDHQ, Bernie leads only by 5...
DDHQ shows it as 100% reporting for me and Bernie won by about 5.8.

Daaayyyymmm! Shocked

Washnetaw is going to be Sanders's best county tonight (this was known for a while) and that's extremely sad.

A shame. I would have loved a 2008 repeat, the next few months will be quite boring politically.

Sad.

A 2008 repeat would have mean Trump's re-election. That level of division would cripple the democratic party.

Biden has the yuppie limousine liberal vote. He is going to get destroyed with WWC maybe even worse than Hillary.

Says the hundreds of rural counties and millions of rural voters that have already casted ballots for Biden.

I'm not even gonna sugar coat it. This feels awful. I've clearly gotten quite emotionally invested in this process and watching it all tumble over like 10 days really hurts. I'm still proud that I volunteered for the first time with Bernie's campaign and I'm gonna do all I can to move a progressive agenda in the future to come. For now though I think I kind of need a break from all this. I'll be back though, and hopefully my input to this community will be more insightful when I'm not as invested in it. I'll see you all soon!

This is the reality of politics. I've never been invested in a candidate to the extent people here have, but eventually I will (republican 2024). I hope everyone who wants Trump out of office can unite and put aside their differences.

Biden now leads in Kalamazoo as well as Washtenaw.

Real chance Biden wins every MI county.

Kent is 100% in with Bernie winning.

I admire that biden isn’t a full fledged socialist like Bernie, but I roll my eyes at his schtick about morality, decency, and national healing.

Where were those characteristics today when he insulted and threatened an American he may be president for next year?

Where were those characteristics when he went into the dirt in 2012 and accused Romney of pretty shocking beliefs, such as wanting to bring slavery back for African Americans?

Where were those characteristics when he continued to falsely claim that the driver who collided with his wife and daughter was drunk, even after the family wrote to the senator and begged him to stop doing that because it was ruining the reputation of their father? That driver went to the grave with a significant portion of American believing him to be a reckless murderous drunk. Can you imagine how awful he must have felt?

You wear a blue avatar, and yet presume that you get should be taken seriously when you criticize anyone else's choice of whom to politically support?

Well yeah, he should. Even if I disagree with most of it.

For the record, Tulsi came in 5th in Mississippi and Missouri, behind Bloomberg and Warren.

And she came in 7th in Washington, Idaho, North Dakota, and Michigan, also finishing behind Buttigieg and Klobuchar in all 4 of those.

She probably wants to outlast Sanders so that she can say she took on Joe Biden and the Dem establishment head-on or some other dumb sh*t like that.

I used to really respect and like Gabbard, but holy crap do I hate her now.
