Jeff Duncan introduced H.B. 6969, his 2nd bill this year.

The "TELL Act" says it "require(s) that any person that maintains an Internet website or that sells or distributes a mobile application that maintains and stores information collected from such website or application in China to disclose that such information is stored and maintained in China and whether the Chinese Communist Party or a Chinese state-owned entity has access to such information."

not a horrible bill I guess so that's an improvement for him.

Read the bill here: https://jeffduncan.house.gov/sites/jeffduncan.house.gov/files/documents/2020.05.14%20-%20Duncan%20-%20TELL%20Act.pdf

Have you decided to stay in by the way?
Yes. while write ins aren't allowed in the primary, I will continue to the general. I'm voting for Welch in the primary (the other guy, Cleveland, is very moderate afaik) but my goal is to get 3rd place since there's no other party running a candidate. The American Party had a candidate last time but not this time last time I checked.

The other D running, Hosea Cleveland (who was the D nominee in 2016, and has run for several offices since the 90's iirc) has a twitter account and his style seems olawakandi-esque.

Btw my own personal prediction for the SC-3 dem primary is that Welch wins something like 60-40. Cleveland was stomped in the 2018 primary and I don’t see this being different.

I didn't end up voting considering there was no really competitive races around here.

At this point I think I'm just gonna drop out. It's a vanity run at this point and has been ever since I found out write-ins weren't allowed in the primary.

Map of the SC-03 Dem primary by precinct.

Interactive Map

Hosea Cleveland
Mark Welch
Tie

I might make one for SC-01 R. Nancy Mace won by a little over 57%.

Also, Graham won his primary by a smaller margin than I expected. He even got below 50% in Greenville and Spartanburg counties.

As promised, the SC-01 R primary:

Interactive Map

State Rep. Nancy Mace: 57.5%
Mount Pleasant Councilwoman Kathy Landing: 25.9%
Bikers for Trump Founder Chris Cox: 9.7%
Bluffton Housing Official Brad Mole: 6.9%

Interesting notes:
-Despite being in 2nd, Landing only won 1 precinct in her home city. The rest were in Beaufort.

-The precinct that Mole won had Mace all the way in 3rd place, behind Mole and Landing. Mole also came in 3rd in his home county of Beaufort, narrowly ahead of Cox, despite the fact that all Cox-won precincts were in Beaufort.

After much contemplation I've decided to exit the SC03 race. To continue further would just be a vanity run and create a mockery of the democratic process. We need a united opposition to @RepJeffDuncan.

I thank everyone who supported me through this campaign. Each and every one of you has bolstered my hopes for the people of this district.

and don't worry, I'll still be here, dunkin' on Duncan.

Thank you all.

Top 10 anime betrayals
look I'm not even gonna be living in the district by the time the election happens, it doesn't make sense to continue on some dumbass writein campaign. The whole reason I started it was because Duncan had no challengers at the time (Mid-February), I almost dropped out when someone finally declared.

I’ve been noticing a lot of ads by Harrison’s team attacking Graham from the right, with Carlson and Gorka saying he isn’t doing anything. Actually a good strategy. Lots of Rs voted for a hard-right challenger. If Harrison can persuade them to not vote at all, then he actually has a chance. I don’t see it happen though

I'm moving this from Likely to Lean R.

It's EXTREMELY important to note that the Constitution Party has a candidate (Bill Bledsoe, the Libertarian nominee in 2016 who got nearly 2% of the vote). If Harrison continues to peel away those who think Graham is a RINO, they'd go to Bledsoe. If it was just Graham and Harrison, I think they'd hold their nose for Graham.

Does anyone know how James Smith did in each Congressional District?

Someone I know says internal polling they’ve done in SC-02 has Jaime way ahead and I want to compare from 2018.
DRA has the data for each dist:
01: 52.0-47.8 McMaster
02: 54.1-45.8 McMaster
03: 66.5-33.3 McMaster
04: 58.7-41.1 McMaster
05: 56.9-43.0 McMaster
06: 70.0-29.9 Smith
07: 57.2-42.7 McMaster

Statewide: 54.0-45.9 McMaster

02 seems to be a good indicator of the state as a whole, if not a little to the right of it. It was 62.9-34.2 for 2016 Sen (Statewide: 60.6-36.9) and 56.4-38.5 in 2016 Pres (Statewide: 54.9-40.7)

If Harrison is ahead there, it's over, especially with trends in the GSP area. I'm still not holding my breath though.

maybe we can have suburban #resistance moms donate their money to Harrison instead of McGrath since Harrison has like, a 5% chance compared to her 0.05% chance?

I am very hopeful now that Harrison wins. I still would only give it a high single digit percent chance of happening, but Harrison's campaign has been EXTREMELY smart.
