If Beto pulls it off this fall, Trump is DEFINITELY in trouble come 2020.

If Cruz somehow loses then I think Trump is not DOA, but bordering close to it. If those 38 electoral votes are tossup or Lean R instead of Safe/Likely R that changes the dynamics of 2020 in the Democrats favor. Trump could win the state in 2020 but it could come at the expense of spending and campaigning more there than a NC or a FL perhaps.

Drawing conclusion from an O'Rourke victory for 2020 would be a big mistake. Just because everything aligns perfectly in a Senate race doesn't mean the state has become competitive at the presidential level. Remember a Republican won Illinois in 2010.

Republicans won an unfortunate special election in Massachusetts too.

The impeachment against Johnson was clearly justified, and the country would have been a lot better off had it succeeded.

Won in 2012 against Ted Cruz, 52-43. Only one to file in primary because of apathetic TexDem party.
Was down in the all the polls by about 5-6 points, until a certain tape was released of Ted Cruz and Maria Cantwell exactly two weeks before the election. Polls quickly showed a double digit reversal, and Ellis scored an upset.

Please let this occur except with Beto as the dem nominee.

A modern day Democratic victory map in Texas would be pretty fascinating. Maybe the candidate gets around 60% in both Harris and Bexar?

How much would the Dem have to score in Tarrant?  Somewhere in the ballpark of 51-55%?

Winning Tarrant 50-49 would put the Democrats at about the point they need to win statewide.

Sounds like Beto was simply accusing the musical group directors of sexist hiring practices/objectifying women. Such groups that engage in sexist hiring practices/objectifying women deserve to be called out for it, and criticized.

If I recall correctly, polls showed Trump easily winning Texas by double digits in 2016, before he only won by 9 points.

We need high turnout in El Paso, Dallas, and Harris Counties, and low turnout in the white rural areas.
