afleitch for both, I understand the argument that a gay man would never be elected, but if the choice was between a gay man and a CLEAR loon? Come on Smiley

Incorrect.  The common meaning of the word 'flaming' in this context is a guy who is flamboyantly gay and/or effeminate.  There are many 'butch' gay guys, for example.  And just normal gay guys too.


OK, I didn't know there was an official definition for the term.  I guess I haven't heard it used enough to have grasped its meaning.
In that case, maybe it's not the best idea to throw the term around without finding out the meaning of it first?
