If Republicans hold onto the House, I would guess Scalise will be the next Speaker because he would face less opposition from the far-right members of the GOP caucus. If Republicans lose the House, my guess is McCarthy because he might have a little more support within the overall caucus. I think the two of them collectively are the overwhelming favorites over any other candidates.
