Oh please JB! He's a horrible candidate, the end! WWC voters are not going to vote for someone articulate and nerdy as him. They are not the sharpest tools in the shed and therefore, they want someone who speaks to them in a way a six year old would be able to understand.

These same voters voted for Obama, many of them twice.

In addition, there is a homophobic section of the black community that would NEVER vote for a gay man, let alone one with the word butt in his last name.

Huh
1=Obama won re-election in 2012. We're not in 2012, we're in 2019, get with the program!
2- Just because a black man is elected doesn't mean this country's ready to elect a gay man. We've had this discussion thousands of times for goodness sakes and myself, TT, RFKfan and others have repeatedly told people who make this cliche argument why it doesn't apply!
Whatever, I'm done with this thread.
Chill dude, what is your problem with him?

Quote
Gabriel Greene, a long-distance truck driver whose son was a football prospect, said he had not heard of Mr. Buttigieg.

As a reporter ticked off some details about him — 37 years old, a mayor, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, married to a man — Mr. Greene interrupted.

“You say he’s married to a man?” he said. “He lost my vote. I believe in Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.’’

Roll Eyes

These people wouldn't vote for a Democrat anyway, and we shouldn't be trying to win their votes.
That’s not true. There are homophobic Democrats and that’s just the reality.
I think blacks are actually more anti-gay than republicans.

Yeah, this guy deserves to get wrecked in a general, though I'd still vote for him as an anti-Trump vote.

Am I wrong for thinking his toxicity with black voters in the primary might not translate to the general election? I’m mean Hillary was great with black voters in the primary and that didn’t translate come November

Hillary Clinton matched her husband’s 1992 turnout with black voters. She did very well with the group so long as you’re comparing her performance to white Democrats. I believe only Kerry in 2004 surpassed her but that statistic is deceptive since turnout was considerably up with every group that year.
Honestly, I am surprised she did worse than Kerry and only matched Bill.

Chicago is a better school for people who want an experience beyond being able to say "I went to Harvard".

Democratic Establishment:   BLACK VOTERS ARE 'THE BASE' OF OUR PARTY - HOW DARE YOU BERNIE BROS

Democratic Voters: proceeds to kill establishment candidate, inadvertently elevate Buttigieg
Democratic Establishment:

The article is simply wrong or lying: 4-in-10 don't say they would vote for someone else or not vote, they just don't express a preference. This is common for black voters with candidates who aren't leading contenders in a race all the time; you see it very frequently in state-level elections such as Senate and Governor races. It's not meaningful at this stage.

For what it's worth, an actual 82-4 or 74-4 result among black voters would kill the Democrats' chances in the general election just as completely as a 57-4 result would, so if you're going to take this seriously as a hit against Buttigieg, it makes Sanders and Biden look unelectable as well.
Obviously most of the undecideds in that poll would go to the democrat.

Mayor Pete goes full blown on DJT on the the Virus and basically backs all DEM opponents
What did he say? Does that mean no Biden endorsement?

Not yet... he's talking about his Mom and his Father who just recently passed...

He's totally doing it soon though, probably tomorrow.
Is this a sure thing? Or speculation?
