In case you wanted more...

Assuming that Sanders somehow wins the presidency, how is he going to be able to achieve those things?

It seems more like a wishlist than an actual plan.

So instead vote for a guy who isn’t wishing for those things but would veto them..? Yeah, that’s surely how you achieve progress.

HE NEVER SAID HE WOULD VETO A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE THINGS.... God watch the damn video. He said he would veto anything that would cause a lapse in coverage. . . And I'm pretty sure you can't veto "end the wars" and other vague things like that

After a Super Tuesday landslide & a 20-25% projected win & without any debates, Biden may beat Bernie by single digits/Barely. That is good enough for Bernie & he was never going to win Michigan in this environment & without a debate.

Biden is a 100% loser & will lose Michigan in the GE to Trump. Trump lost Iowa to Cruz & then decimated Hillary there. This will be a long drawn primary. Otherwise Biden should accept that he is unelectable & drop out & endorse Bernie.

This is the worst take I've seen. I understand being upset, you have every right to be and I would be too in your shoes. However, this take is just illogical

Biden has the yuppie limousine liberal vote. He is going to get destroyed with WWC maybe even worse than Hillary.

He's literally doing better than Hillary with WWC voters by a ton?

Because theres no alternative. Bernie was a lot stronger in 2016.

There was no alternative for Hillary in 2016 other than Bernie. There is no alternative for Biden currently other than Bernie. Bernie won 2 of the first three states and basically tied in the remaining state. You consistently have the most biased, terrible takes on this forum that simply defies available data

It's crazy how Bernie ran such an effective campaign against the elitist wing of the Democratic Party that was almost solely focused on social issues and a "we are better than the rest of them" approach. Only four years later, that seems to have become the feeling among someBernie supporters. The entitlement and superiority is astounding.

I'm not even gonna sugar coat it. This feels awful. I've clearly gotten quite emotionally invested in this process and watching it all tumble over like 10 days really hurts. I'm still proud that I volunteered for the first time with Bernie's campaign and I'm gonna do all I can to move a progressive agenda in the future to come. For now though I think I kind of need a break from all this. I'll be back though, and hopefully my input to this community will be more insightful when I'm not as invested in it. I'll see you all soon!

I know exactly how you are feeling. Its such a great feeling to be politically active in a campaign, feel like you are winning, and then have it pulled out from under you at the last minute. I've felt that. Its terrible. Be proud of volunteering and actually giving a damn when so many voters don't.

Dems can't win alienating a third of their party. This primary is going to be really hard for Sanders supporters.

So we’re alienating Bernie voters by winning? I guess by that logic Trump alienated 55% of Republicans

Its a big tent, but its not THAT big of a tent.  Biden needs to go hard to the center and pick a moderate VP, like a former Republican.

This is an awful idea

agreed.

no one is alienating sanders supporters.

Except for Biden himself and basically every Biden supporter who are telling us they don’t want our votes?

Citation needed
Literally am currently talking to a group chat full of Biden supporters who are pretty much acting as if Bernie is the “real enemy” and that “yay Bernie supporters are all gone” - they’re pretty much doing everything they can to signal that Bernie supporters aren’t wanted in their sphere of support.

Which is also what the Biden supporters in this thread are doing.

We're happy our candidate is winning. Bernie supporters were saying the same thing about Biden pre South Carolina and especially after Nevada

You literally think Biden stealing the nomination from Bernie is going to go over well with them? They literally stacked the deck in a matter of days. 75% of this forum thought Biden was done after Nevada.

That's not stealing. Please look up definitions of words you don't know.
If those candidates stay in no way Biden is in the lead right now. No chance in hell.

I'm done arguing with you. You are a partisan hack clouded by bias in every sense of the way. Only offering subjective analyses on every forum on this site about how Lord Emperor Trump is superior to everyone in every way. I'm not saying Trump wont win in November, because I'm not a hack like you, but for godssake would it hurt to put a bit of substance behind your arguments rather than just making random comparisons and off the wall statements?

Can everyone just stop purposely rubbing it in Bernie supporters faces. Yes we got that from that at times, and a bit of gloating is ok, but there is absolutely no reason to be malicious to people who were extremely passionate about a candidate whose presidential hopes were ruined tonight

The only way forward for the left is to colonize other planets/moons.

Absolutely not. You are more than welcome and in fact, I hope you influence Biden left on several issues (marijuana and childcare especially)

Yeah, Biden wins WA by about 5 unless the results so far are randomly mixed. Not surprised to see some of the gloating and rubbing it in, though I wish some people could see that they’re acting exactly like the “Bernie Bros” that they claim are so terrible. Honestly, might be time for me to take a break from this site, at least until the hate boners for Sanders start to go away.

Did you hear Biden's speech tonight.
He wants and needs you and the other Bernie supporters to defeat trump come November.
He is being inclusive to all/everyone.

I haven’t watched his speech, but I’ve never accused Biden of being divisive. And yes, I’ve said many times before that I’ll vote for Biden in November, but going forward, I’m not sure I belong in a party with many voters openly hostile to Sanders and all of his supporters (yes, some just go after the Twitter crowd, but many are perfectly fine generalizing) and not even recognizing that the negativity coming from them is hurting the party.
I am sorry, but should the same not be expected of Bernie supporters? They are the ones who are screaming that "Biden has dementia" and essentially helping out Trump to the best of their ability. Now I understand that Biden's supporters have been a bit show offish, but is this not but a reaction to the fact that Bernie, according to his own words, is (or was) literally going for a hostile takeover of the party?

I’ve never defended Sanders supporters who were assholes to other people. Never. All I’m asking is that we not only go after the toxic folks on one side.

I agree with you. As someone who has backed Biden since before he announced, I apologize for the people tearing Sanders down. Especially the former Republicans who want to act like know-it-alls in the party.
