Warrens the only vp who would boost youth turnout for Biden which he desperately needs The youth are not fans of Harris Klobuchar and don't care who Demmings and CCM and Duckworth are

Biden will regret locking himself in to picking a Female running mate.  His decision precludes Sherrod Brown and Cory Booker, both of whom could have helped him significantly.  As could have candidates with real substance such as Jay Inslee and Michael Bennet.

Now he's locked in.

We don't care what Republicans think about our running mate.

I don't care about your not caring.

You don't speak for all Democrats here anyway.  And I'm a Kerry and Obama voter, and a 2 time Bill Clinton voter, who voted a straight ticket for Florida offices in 2018.  So your political acumen can stand a tad of fine tuning.

So you are planning on or seriously considering voting for Biden then?

I haven't ruled it out.

I didn't decide to vote for McCain in 2008 until I went into the voting booth.  I was going to vote for Bush in 2004, but I changed my mind and voted for Kerry late in the campaign.

I have no way of knowing if you vote for Biden in real life.  But if you at least vote for Biden in the 2020 Mock Presidential Election on this site (which has not been released yet) send me a PM so I can verify.  It should show up in the "Atlas Presidential Mock Election Endorsement History" of your profile.  I will send you a PM apologizing for my earlier statement.

https://uselectionatlas.org/MOCK/

Until then, based on your posting history and avatar I am assuming your statement was typical Trump supporter bile aimed at denigrating female Democrats.

I'm not a "likely" Biden voter.  I'd vote for Trump if the election were held today.  But it's not being held today.

My comments were made as a statement on strategy.  From a political science point of view.  Whether I vote Democratic or Republican, there will be a load of issues on which I will disagree with the candidate of my choice on.

That is what I thought.  Let me rephrase what I said earlier -- we have no reason to care what Trump supporters think about our running mate.

You have no reason to care about what Obama-Trump voters think?

Someone who voted for Barack Obama ought to be someone who would be a possible Biden voter, would they not?
I just wanna say we should definetly take your opinon into consideration its interesting to get into the mind of a swing voter, what vp would make you the most likely to vote for Biden and why and which the least?

Politico says that the Biden inner circle is divided on the relative merits of picking an African American running mate and picking someone who’s ideologically on the left:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/28/biden-vice-president-2020-elections-212555

Quote
Joe Biden’s advisers and allies have become torn over whether it is more important to choose an African American or a progressive running mate.

While the two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, there is an ongoing debate about whether Biden “has the black vote locked up” or “whether the bigger need we have is to put someone left-leaning” on the ticket, a strategist familiar with discussions said.

The story also notes the lobbying efforts going on, including Abrams calling up Dem. power borkers and asking them to tell the Biden people that she should be veep:

Quote
Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia lawmaker and unsuccessful candidate for governor, has been privately calling Democratic power brokers, asking them to tell Biden campaign officials that she should be vice president, according to multiple labor leaders familiar with the discussions.

Elizabeth Warren is cranking up her small-dollar machine. The Biden campaign has noticed that in media appearances, Warren, the progressive senator from Massachusetts, consistently plugged JoeBiden.com and urged people to donate — an appeal that a Biden adviser said did not come from the campaign.

There’s also an oppo war going on:

Quote
With the Biden campaign’s vetting process soon to begin, supporters of potential running mates are also getting involved: opposition research that was shelved at the end of the presidential primary is now starting to recirculate in an effort to stealthily drag down prospective vice presidential rivals. Harris, Warren and to a lesser extent Klobuchar — who gained traction relatively late in the campaign — all faced intense scrutiny during the presidential primary. Now, in conversations with reporters, Democrats working to hobble them are reupping old criticisms about their records.

“There are definitely internal and external battles over who’s going to leak the most s#!t on people,” one Democratic strategist said.

Looks like its between Harris and Warren ugh bummer I was starting to warm up to Whitmer anyway I hope he picks Warren but id vote for him if he picked Harris

I thought you wanted Biden to win? Are you back on our side?

Is it really even a “side“ if it’s just a handful of entitled ManChildren having a temper-tantrum?  I mean, the Bernie or Busters are collectively the political equivalent of a fruit fly and even that is probably giving you too much credit.  In any case, unlike you, Sawx is...you know...an actual progressive, so I’m sure he’s still going to do the right thing on Election Day.
there are so many biden psychos on this website but none are as fucking boring as you

Anyway, if you support Biden there's no reason to push for a VP who's going to dramatically undercut him like Warren
How does Warren undercut him polling indiciates that Biden/Warren is the strongest ticket

538 did another VP draft, their list was:

Harris
Pressley
Klobuchar
Duckworth
Warren
Cortez Masto
Lujan Grisham
Abrams
Whitmer
Id love to see Pressley be the pick but I heavily doubt she will even make the short list

Pressley is way too inexperienced for the VP slot, especially when we're talking about a prez who tuns 80 into his 1st term. Same applies to Abrams.
Yup my point exactly

I read a good piece about how the Democrats always tend to pick the least offensive choice who the republicans would hate the least (Kaine, Biden, Lieberman, Gore etc etc) while the republicans just seem to pick whoever they need to appease whatever donor wing is having a hissy fit.

I mean would you say that Mike Pence, Dick Cheney, Dan Qualye or George H.W Bush were exactly popular choices?
So Klobuchar or Harris?

Kamala the Cop vs. A Divisive Progressive vs. A Scientology Apologist vs. A Literal Cop Who Let Her Department Use Force Against Minorities In A Disproportionate Rate.

Tammy Duckworth is the most sane, safest pick for VP.

To act as if Tammy is completely spotless while *everyone* else has major flaws is wishful thinking.

Lol all the VP candidates have been vetted for months and stuff has come out about all of them except for duckworth if theirs something about her it would have come out by now plus attacking a veteran who lost her legs for our country just makes you look awful Duckworth is the clear choice If Biden has any brains left in him

Is there a reason nobody is talking about Duckworth? That's my favorite pick.
Shes my favorite pick too but apparently shes said the biden campaign has not been in contact with her for a few weeks meaning shes likely not under consideration anymore Sad all the evidence were seeing now is that its narrowed down to
Harris
Rice
Demmings
and Whitmer?
