What’s the most likely outcome as of now?

The 3rd-degree murder charge being reinstated is a pretty big deal that shows where the case is going. In any event, it should hopefully help to prevent any widescale trial-related civil unrest from happening.

It's a shame Minnesota isn't a Death Penalty State. Chauvin should be on Death Row.

In no state is 2nd-degree murder subject to a potential death sentence. Not even TX. As always, your take is nonsensical.

I don’t even think it’s a life sentence in any state, which puts a blow on the opinion of much of the public who were hoping for a life sentence without parole for Chauvin.

It actually can be, both federally (be it at the civilian or military levels as well as in DC) as well as in the states of AL, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, KY, MA, MI, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NY, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VT, WA, & WY. Indeed, life without the possibility of parole is actually the mandatory-minimum sentence for 2nd-degree murder in LA & SD.

That's fine, so long as it entails him having to simply admit his guilt on-the-record.
