I want to believe that Gallup number, but they've been so swingy lately that it makes me pause.

On the other hand, it's not out-of-line with what we've seen in other polls.

So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ya know, putting GOP_Represent on ignore has been proven to increase subjective well being.

According to the RCP aggregate, Trump is at his lowest net approval since impeachment, and at his highest disapproval since the 2018-'19 Government shutdown.

RMG Research/Scott Rasmussen (not Rasmussen Reports), July 2-4, 1200 RV (change from mid-June)

Approve 39 (-2)
Disapprove 58 (nc)

Strongly approve 27 (nc)
Strongly disapprove 47 (-2)

Quote
That’s the lowest level of approval yet measured in polling conducted by Scott Rasmussen.
...
Perhaps most concerning for the president is that support is slipping among Republicans. The latest results show that just 80% of those in his party offer their approval. That’s down slightly from 84% in mid-June.

His sliding support amongst Republicans is something that we've seen being noted in many recent polls.

Disapprove 53 (-5)

Strongly approve 28 (+1)

I dislike when pollsters try and find reasoning behind why their weekly poll had a huge swing. Sometimes weekly polls are just noisy, it doesn't have to be a "response to the media criticism of the president".

He did note that it's likely due to statistical noise in the second paragraph.

Wow between that and the new Zogby poll showing Trump up to 52% this month hasn’t gone the way I hoped.  Squinting

You're relatively new here. Zogby is a low quality pollster.

I guess we're seeing the start of a Trump bump?

As in going from 40% approval to 43%? Maybe.

Trump 48% Approval, Fox News

The race is tightening. If Trump can hold onto recent high approvals (upper 40s), he will win the EC. Game on.

Please learn what an outlier is.

Trump's approval rating is skyrocketing. He's now more popular than he was before the pandemic. The virus has been a political gift to him.

What do you think his approval rating will be on Election Day, Beet? Mid-50s, closer to 60?

I'm genuinely interested in your prediction, Beet. This would put some meet on the bones of your posts about Trump rising in the polls - if we could measure it objectively against a target.

Lol you're too much.

Do we really put all of our faith in polls, they can be wrong

There are, like, 8 different personalities that are fighting for dominance within you, and I have no idea which one is winning.
