If the Bailout (huh?) Refusal Act is passed, then I and my Attorney General will do everything in our power to ensure that the livelihoods of the good people of the Southeast are not held hostage to a bunch of anarcho-capitalist radicals.
Even if the citizens of the Dirty South themselves decide they don't want the money. I guess respecting democracy must be some kind of crazy anarcho-capitalist idea.

Say 60% of the Southeast votes for SPC's act. Should the other 40% have to suffer as well even though they wanted the money? Respecting democracy doesn't mean enforcing the tyranny of the majority.

Purple State, with all due respect, the GM Act was the source of this trend. I did make clear in the Senate debate that your legislation was unconstitutional; Justice Spade's eventual ruling exactly followed my own reasoning except much more in depth. I don't think it's really accurate for you to criticize others' questionable testing of the constitution when you started that very trend. Just saying; no poor intentions meant here at all.

I have no idea how someone who has shown as much disregard for the Constitution as Marokai Blue has ever got to be Attorney General.

Speaking of disregarding the Constitution, how about when you blatantly ignored that bit about how regions can't enforce currency and all that?

Also Marokai, calm down bro

Daniel Adams, you know that if you sign them they automatically go on the ballot?  (or that's the way I've always interpreted the constitution)
Can you cite the passage? Article II states that "Such a petition shall have at least three signatures of registered Southeastern voters in order to be added to the ballot at the next Initiative election." If the governor proposes an initiative, it automatically goes on the ballot, according to Article I. Also, I could declare any initiative an emergency and hold an immediate election. However, as I read the Constitution, if I haven't proposed an initiative or declared it an emergency, it needs three signatures.

I think he wants you to simply propose it yourself, automatically adding it to the ballot.
I suppose I could do that, but at the expense of less citizen participation in the process.

It's a mechanism you can use right before the initiative election, I'd assume, where you can propose yourself all the initiatives you liked that didn't get enough signatures. If you do it now, then it's possible the original proposals would get enough signatures and then things would be on the ballot twice. That would be silly.
